The only Indian i would consider getting is the Springfirld but not until they get rid of the ugly rounded saddlebags and that ugly front fender. Throw on the Chieftain fender and bags and i might be interested. Would never buy the Chieftain because that dash layout is ugly as sin and looks like i am staring at johnny 5 from Short Circuit. The Challenger/Persuit is on but feels extremely plastic, kinda like buying a Toyota.
I can't stomach the Matt black either, bought the classic all chrome. Had it 3yrs, love it to bits, the bags are awesome, remote lockable and equipped with a power socket, Chucked the old Harley Heritage ( the new one was not even of interest, too "modernised", lost it's soul).... it was a wrench to do that.... I was sad for at least 2minutes, thing is I don't like anything Harley are doing....less n less chrome..... more plastic.... more dollars. Seems they want a new identity but their customers don't want to follow. Meanwhile Indian stomping on their traditional market. I've had street, road and electro glides, heritage, and roadkings. I'll never swap the Springfield for any of them. It's not perfect, engine can get a bit hot but has comfort,handling,space and style.
@@alanbromley8095 yup, I had a 2014 Indian Chief vintage and it was a nice bike, got tired of the leather bags and that ugly front fender, sold it and went back to Harley. I really like the Springfield but I hate the Indian colours along with the bags and fender that comes with the Springfield. The dark horse looks good but then I’m forced to take that ugly matte paint and I hate matte paint on a bike
