The 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S is a great metric cruiser option for those who want the perfect fit at a very reasonable cost. We were pleasantly surprised with how much we liked the Vulcan.

The Alan key is for taking the seats off, which is where the toolkit is.

The toolkit is under the seat.

As said previously the tool kit including a C spanner is under the seat. Also to note I have a 2023 cafe model here in Australia and it is delivered as standard with abs also.

If only this vulcan s 650 has the looks of the vulcan 900, for sure this would be a best selling mid size cruiser....

I doubt it because of the engine, it's small and sounds like a lawnmower where as the Vulcan 900 sounds like a big beefed up cruiser.

@@noahknight4039 for you, but for me, it is. I am planning of buying a midsize cruiser and 500cc to 700cc is my preferred displacement. The royal enfield meteor 650 is my first choice and honda rebel 500 is my second. Vulcan s 650 would be my best choice if only it has a looks of a typical classic cruiser. Vulcan s has a superior specs among the 3, but it has the ugliest appearance. Even with my cruiser lover friends, they say, vulcan s is ugly. In fact, i had a friend who buys vulcan s, after 3 thousand km of use, he sells it.

Great review, however at 6:40 you said the Vulcan S Cafe only comes with non- ABS, which is not true. All 2023 Cafe models come with ABS, as I have one. I love this bike BTW. Thanks again for review.

Surprised that you didn’t know where the toolkit is ! The only ‘update’ that Vulcan S has gone through (per my knowledge) apart from color schemes is the addition of gear indicator, possibly in 2016 !

They added it in 2017, I have a 2016 and it doesn’t have one😭

Built just for my size, because it is…. Of course, everyone knows what your size is. Could’ve been helpful if the height was mentioned.

I wonder what changed in models since 2016? I'm looking to buy Vulcan S and I can see people are selling 2016 models , but I can also buy 2023, just not sure if there is any difference and if it's worth additional £2.5k for a brand new model

I'm in the same boat. Their doesn't seem to be any comparison or spec sheets to breakdown the differences in the 2 anywhere.

Apart from the color scheme, there's a gear indicator in the more recent models

Several motorcycle manufactures, like Kawasaki and Honda, are going back to paralell twins, or in-line twos. and here is the reason. With these engines there is one jug, not two like a V-twin. One cylinder head, not two like a V-twin. One timing chain, not two. If the engine is a dual overhead cam design they have two camshafts, not four like a V-twin. The paralell twin, or in-line twos are less expensive to manufacture.

This has to be the driest review of the Vulcan I've seen - and I've seen a lot.

Needs a smoother engine which could be made a more expensive option.
