Mercedes cars are no longer the over-engineered cars of old when they were near bulletproof in reliability. When they were designed by engineers and not accountants! Unfortunately, the Mercedes cache still persists despite the lowered quality of their cars.
Just about every car maker is like that nowadays... technology has caught on so much that features that were once considered "luxurious" has made their way to cheaper cars, hence over-engineered cars are no longer a thing
@brandonczw But if you go through all carmakers, overall, still much better than mercedes. You know why. Even mercedes quality now can’t beat all other brands
@@brandonczw That is not true. German cars are no longer the reliable cars that they used to be. Case in point, I used to own a BMW X5 and for the first few years it ran well. After that, the warning lights for all types of problems started popping up on a too regular basis. It did it so often that I became paranoid every morning when starting up the car, worrying if there would be something wrong with it that day. I sold it off and bought a Lexus RX450 hybrid. That was probably a more luxurious and complicated car than the X5, yet, it never gave me any problems at all until the day I sold it off. Reliable like the old Mercedes of yesteryear, despite having more bells and whistles than most modern luxury cars.
Brand power aside, how does this compares to the latest Kia Sorrento in terms of noise insulation, Nvh, interior design, UX design, handling, drive quality, passenger quality? Recent Mercedes SUVs gives me the impression that the brands carries the product rather than the build quality. I personally suspect Kia cars while being a 'middle class' brand, is built better as a product compared to 'luxury' brand Mercedes cars.
@@lplp7656 ohh, that is surprising. I have yet to actually sit in one. But somehow I can feel the built quality, the interior design is lacking... something for a luxury car. Yes, leathers and flashy obviously costly accessories and parts is visible, but Kia cars feels more elegant than this car although just premium..
@@KhooChaiheng Sad to tell you BMW X3 is also the same. Close the door a bit hard, you can hear and sense all seats vibrating. Again, BMW service centre guy said this is normal. German car makers are really lousy now.
Mercedes is bought by dreamers yawning for a STAR only even it is not reliable to own These dreamers like visiting workshops with lots of workshops friends in the making
