Hey emba quick question. I have a budget of R180 000 and want to but used vw golf gti 7 at we buy cars l, its a 2014 model and its going for R150 000 so I wanna buy it and with the remaining R30 000 i want take it to service immediately. Whats your take on that? Do you think its a wise move to make?
@@kgomotsosilas4022 hey here's my 2 cents if you can, do this. Full service history from we buy cars(if they have one for the vehicle I don't really trust their dekra reports). And usually I'd say go ask the dealership(we buy cars) for an diagnostic report straight from manufacturer in your case Volkswagen so you know If that R30 000k will be enough. If at first they say no, offer to pay for the diagnostic report you self if you can. VW will tell you everything you need to know about that GTI.
I don't necessarily think that will be wise, as these cars can be prone to big issues like turbo failures, especially the early ones 2014/2015. I don't think it's worth the possible financial strain, maybe save up a bit more and then go for the Polo 6c GTI? It's really good and I have a video coming on it...
