One minor correction - the U.S. models actually have a 70.5 kw battery (the European models have the 66.5 kw battery). I've had my EQB 300 for a little less than two weeks and I'm seeing a real world range of about 220 miles (city driving) or 200 miles on the highway. I think the 19 inch wheels (which I also have on mine) have a negative effect on the EPA rated range of 243 miles. One thing you all didn't mention in your review but I wanted to pass along - Sport mode in the EQB is powerful and fast. Because it negatively affects range, you're not going to want to drive it in sport all the time, but in situations where you need to pass someone or get off the line quickly, it's a very nice option to have. Overall I love the car so far.
To be fair both of those are delayed indefinitely. But it’s definitely weird Mercedes is still using the chip shortage excuse for manual seats on everything that costs less than 80k.
I don’t understand why Mercedes would even bother putting in manual seats in a car that costs this much money. They should’ve just waited until they had the chips for it.
The GLB/EQB is a good little SUV. Similar to the old GLK it replaces, the boxy shape defies the small dimensions in cargo and passenger space. The only concern I have for the EQB is that outside of reducing your personal carbon footprint, it is hard to see why someone would get it over the gas 4cyl. The range isn't high nor do you get the blistering acceleration of say a Model Y Long Range or even a Mustang Mach E within this price point(the same is true for the EQ sedans as well). And manual seats in a MB is a non-starter for me(@ freggin $62K!?!). No power wheel, hard rear seats, and questionable plastics are ok for a Toyota or Nissan...never an MB. And this thing isn't exactly...cheap, especially given it won't qualify for the new tax credits.
Exactly I've got a GLB 35 and I was expecting EQB to have at least similar base options as an entry level AMG car that cost less then this EQB or equalish for the most expensive optioned one.
Those cup holders are 3rd class... Horrible and wobble a lot while driving... Just nonsense design from MB.... Window and fit and finish have issues as well. They shatter while playing music with bass/treble... Car wobbles a lot in general... does not give u a smooth transition... For 55K, there are so many options... Take your money to other brands
