I got my MG4 Trophy a couple of days ago. The car isn’t perfect but is very good value for money especially with the finance deals that MG are currently offering.

one pedal driving only works if battery state is below 85% I think < any higher an there's no where for the regen charge to go as battery is too full

The error with one pedel drive mode is that you had too much charge (97%). regen brake wont be strong enough

Nice! I do like the more introvert version of cars 🤣, you’ll love it, it’s really nice, first E car I’ve ever had and I think it’s the perfect one for a first timer. The range, the price, all the extras with it for what is an Aldi/Lidl car 🤣. I do hope you enjoy it, at the moment the only negative thing is the charging infrastructure, it’s ok for us, but still not good for all day long distance drivers 😞

Love you new Emoji. I don't have an EV and live in the State so this car is not even an option for us. I do know that everyone has been telling me, work for an Insurance Agent so talk cars a lot, that only charge your EV about 80% if you are going to hit the road for trip and need the range. For Daily use, to extend the lifetime of the battery pack, for daily use it is best to charge it up to 80% and not let it go below 20% to get better life out of the battery cells.

Yes, that’s true, on everyday use it’s only charged to 80% and usually won’t get below 30%

@@HooverLuxI've watched countless videos and no one mentioned this... btw you mentioned Daylight running leds on the vertical lights. Are they dual purpose? DRLs and indicator lights?

The running lights was my bad, i said they were indicators, but they’re just the LED’s, I was so nervous making the video 🤣, I was totally a fish out of water making this video. Also there are no front parking sensors just the camera that does come on, but not always when parking forward.

So many things went wrong in this video but hey obviously your not on any groups for advice ect as you even said the daytime running lights are on the indicators 🤣 also I have a trophy and had it a month and hit 300 miles full charge buts that probably cause I dont floor it to 80 like you do and many other owners don’t do 80 ether but hey you will get there 😂

I’m so glad you understand, cars are absolutely not my forte and I’m simply and end user talking to end users, on the way to the airport I was doing all the things I’ve learned from other reviews etc and it was perfect, but on the way home I wanted to use it like I would my diesel Volvo and see how that went and wow, mega impressed. Going for the long range is definitely the way to go, during normal use days it’s set to 80% charge max. Last charged it last Tuesday and it was 70% tomorrow will be its first charge since then and it still has 97 miles left, love it! So before you comment, please listen to my video carefully, then you’ll maybe understand more 🤦🏼because you really missed the entire point.

Don’t just look at the up-front purchase price, look at the total cost of ownership for the life of the car, including fuel, tyres, servicing and so on. That will show you that it’s a cheap car.
