So back when this video came out I saved it. Watched it several times as I saved up money. Now it's 2024 and in MI softball is about to start. I bought a balanced for myself and a endload for my buddy I play with. He gets to swing it outside of BP in game this coming weekend the 13th of April. Cannot wait!!! Your reviews work and cannot wait to use mine first on a field or in a game. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I actually prefer the 2-piece. I think you’ll be just fine. I have a video with it, unfortunately it’s Mike Nino swinging it, so it’s not a true representation of what a normal human could do with it. That dude hits SO hard, it’s wild!
Straight gas right out or the wrapper!!! This bat is my new favorite ASA bat I’ve swung to date and that’s a strongggg statement!!! The weighting is perfect, it swings effortlessly through the zone and if you make contact it’s gone!!! No joke this was like hitting a senior bat with the harder balls it was just fun!!! Do yourselves a favor and pick one up if you get a chance you absolutely will not regret it!!!
When are these going to pre order the ones one the website is .5 EL and 3900 handle …. You guys just hit nukes on queue I envy you guys lol great video much love keep up the good work
@@groundoutbp7252 it doesn't feel or sound like m6. I have to assume it's a new rendition of some sort of Hype tech though since it has that 1oz endload.
Looks like a WINNER. Hopefully M% "Lite" doesn't mean it breaks after 50 swings... Will you provide a long term update? I am interested! How's it looking after this outing? Webbed up?
So if you got the 1oz endload like we swung, it will just feel like it’s got a heavier endload. Performance will be very similar. Monsta makes all their bats to be as high performing as they are allowed so one really isn’t going to be any hotter than the next. I like that the extra endload in this model you can really feel drive through the ball. Enjoy the new bat man!
So I don’t know what it is but I’ve done multiple rounds of bp with my 1 piece KOD and there’s an unbearable amount of sting on the hands. I’m not missing the barrel either… any ideas what could be the reason?
Why are these bats so light though? I’m only used to seeing, 26oz as the lightest bat for slow pitch and there’s only options for 24 and 25oz? Can anybody explain?
So these were specifically designed to be their light weight option. The light weight bats are made to maximize bat speed and still perform at the upper limit. It helps players who don’t necessarily have the quickest hands to gain that extra performance they don’t get with a heavier bat. Luckily Monsta still makes other models in heavier weights for guys that prefer it, like the Fallout or Zombie.
you literally just spelled out the answer in your question. That's the only difference, the full oz endload just had a bit more junk in the trunk. If you are a pure power hitter the extra endload certainly helps drive through the ball more, but you will lose a little bit of barrel control. I'm not sure I prefer one over the other, I enjoy the Monsta Midload, .5 and full oz options all the same.
Honest reply only. Do you prefer sinister or this Kod ? Seems like you like it but not enough to change from ole faithful. What are some cons? Feel? Light?
I actually really liked the KOD. I have always found the sinister swings a bit light so having the extra endload seemed to help fit my swing more. I would say performance is equal, so if you like a heavier swinging bat this is a good choice. If you love the sinister, no reason to change in my mind unless you just really want to try something new.
I guess I’m trying to make sure it doesn’t swing like torch mutated 25 oz light but more similar to sinister 25 oz with more endload. I have a 26 oz bombardier which is 1 oz endload but I would have loved it if it was 25 is with the 1 oz endload
@@jkim5764 gotcha. I honestly don’t remember thinking to myself that it swung light at all. I totally know what you mean about the torch mutated that took an adjustment.
This compared to the kings of diaonds torch....which one is hotter and which one has the bigger sweet spot? I own a torch and thinking about changing to sinister.
I wouldn’t say one was hotter than the other, just a matter if you prefer a 1-piece or 2-piece. The classic Torch with a 2500 handle is still my favorite platform. The 1-piece will be a little less forgiving but also a little more rewarding if you hit it on the screws.
@BatFlipBP My favorite bat is the lousiville one peice genesis. So for sure I'm a one piece guy. But I have been struggling finding the sweet spot on the torch lol so if ur telling me sinister is even harder to find maybe im not a monsta guy or maybe I'm spoiled with the Louisville sweet spot. Any last suggestions for me loool?
I wouldn't say the sweetspot is hard to find, the bat just lets you know more if you missed it. The midload feel of a Monsta is definitely something you have to get used to. I couldn't hit with one to save my life when I first picked on up. You can always give the Anarchy 1-piece bats a try, they are some of my favorites they make. Especially the Loco, but i have heard the newer Nimmo and Streets are really good, I just haven't had a chance to swing them yet.
@BatFlipBP thanks for the info! Yeah I don't mind the feedback from bat when i miss it. If the sweet spot is about the same as the torch then for sure going for the sinsiter as I am more use to one piece and more use to endload. My buddy swears by the anarchy once piece. He says after 2-3 thousand hits it surpasses mosnta distance ....u just have to be patient to get it there.
yeah, Anarchy is a patient man's bat. I seem to have bad luck with them though I haven't had one and not had the restrictor inside come loose on me. My latest the Rapture is starting to get the death rattle.
The 2-piece I have swings just slightly heavier, but I find that’s pretty standard with Monsta. Have way less hits on the 2-piece but if I had to guess it’s gonna take the same journey of performance. First 100-150 hits it’s gas, then quiets down for the next 150 until the fib breaks in and then it’s gas again.
@Bat Flip BP I am debating between this one and a DNA Legacy I like the legacy because it has the 1oz end load and I can get it in a 26oz. Also I can get it now as opposed to later. They are both M5 tech but the KOD is the M5 lite tech. Saw that you tested both of them. Did you notice any differences? Or were they pretty similiar once broken in?
The one in this video is the 1-piece. There is a 2-piece available as well, just comes down to personal preference. I like a 2-piece my buddy Aaron swears by the 1-piece.
