she may not have a GoldMedal at the olympics, but she is only [so far] the only WS player to have won 4 WTF Titles. lets not forget that WTF's participants are literally the top 8 entries each season. hence, it can be argued that WTF is tecnically the most difficult tournament each year, because in order to be qualified, you need to be very consistent. look at Ranki/Shetty of india, they won Asian Games, but they could not qualify for this tournament, a solid testament that winning one major tournament [Except WC] would not be sufficient to qualify for the WTF, you need to be more than that :)
It was NOT a miracle. It was hard work and persistence. I hope this title gives her a boost of self confidence ahead of the 2024 season and most importantly for the Olympics!
I watched all of her matches of this tournament live. Ngl, I've always enjoy watching the match between an and tai. And in the third game of semi final, when she was so far behind I really thought this is it. But she showed us incredible resilience, never give up if your opponent hasn't won yet. Closing the gap point by point, slowly but surely. In the end making the seemingly impossible comeback reality. All I can say is I'm very, very impressed. As for her match against marin, I can only say that it's a good thing she didn't lose to such an opponent. But nonetheless, it is such a wonderful matches that tai brought to us. I'll definitely miss her when she's retired
The tale of an Extra Ordinary Come back After Playing for more than an hour of gruelling rallies. You are 🔟 - 1️⃣9️⃣ down in the third & Deciding game against the World Number 1 & World Champion who has who has dominated you for most part of the year. And You are facing the door steps of a seventh straight defeat against her. Many would have thought it's buried. Many switched off the streams. And many thought that it's a matter of formality. Especially considering the fact the opponent has an extremely consistent playing style with hardly any room for errors. But not if Your Name is Tai Tzu Ying 🇹🇼. The Word 'Surrender' does not appear in her dictionary. Perhaps By Soaking all the pressure. Perhaps By Thinking one point at a time. Perhaps By forgetting the score board. Perhaps By holding on to her nerves. Next thing you know is that Tai Tzu Ying has won it 2️⃣2️⃣ - 2️⃣0️⃣. Yes. TTY has performed a heist against the best player player in the world. The Wizard had wielded her magic wand to stich a come back that would be remembered as one of the best in the history of the Sport. Tai Tzu Ying is the undertaker of Badminton
She really is the comeback queen. She’s an inspiration to all of Taiwan badminton along with Chou Tien Chen as well as Lee yang and wang Chi Lin. Not to mention she won this tournament with a recovering foot injury. Incredible, just incredible
Tai has always been entertaining and inspiring. She is the only player I watched from her early career until today. I remember watching her very first game against China's best. She lost the game but there were things different in her style and approach to the game. I remember my son said she played like a man players never look pressured but enjoying every strokes. True enough less than two years later she defeated one of the Chinese best in the final. After that, it's all history. Having watched her matured from games to games until this moment is indeed a wonderful feeling as if every Tai Tzu Ying's wins are my wins too. I was devastated when she lost the Olympic final to Chen Yufei one of my favourite too. I hope she will win the gold in the bext Olympic. Good luck to her.
What a comeback! It reminds me of LCW comeback at Malaysian Open 2006 against Lin Dan. In the Malaysia Open, Lee fought back from 13-20 down in the rubber match and saved eight match points against Lin Dan, and finally won the game with a score of 23-21 to secure the title.
A matchup between young knees and knees with the most wins (10 years) among active players. If An’s knees can still help her win the championship ten years from now, I will think she is better than Tai Tzu Ying.
ASY is already battle scarred, her play style is really hard on the body, I don’t think she can keep this up for 9 years more in the top 5, but you never know.
At 20-16 down, imagine if at any point ASY left a shuttle to touch the ground and the linesmen called it OUT (when it's in). Tai Tzu Ying wouldn't have able to challenge the call because she doesn't have any challenges left. Good thing the next 6 points she won were clear winners.
Who’s back here after 2 months to witness how the WTF literally changed her whole perception and confidence coming into 2024. Already she has made 2 finals in a row at top-level tournaments. It’s so inspiring to see how one impressive and miraculous moment in her career can be so pivotal. It’s beautiful isn’t it? How she’s displayed her conviction so far even at the age of 30. I really hope she wins the olympics to end her career on a high. I will most definitely miss watching such an outstanding player. It’s a pity she’s retiring.
PRINCESS. Delicate, fragile but plays a sublime. Most of players are entertainers. She enlightens.... She is not queen not evem empress. She is PRINCESS.
I'm wondering where you're from. I mean no offense but while your accent in English is flawless, I hear lots of grammatical errors. It's such a weird combination...
@@ari-athbadminton0301 Yes. I like the videos. However the English is very incorrect sometimes and the voice is AI for sure. No native speaker would pronounce that grammar with that much confidence, haha :)
