Hi, cool video. You might want to protect the vents under the seat. They make a piece for the carpet on the tailgate. I also PPF the painted door still area.

Recently installed Lasfit sill protectors (front/rear). Don’t recommend pulling off rubber door seal gaskets during the install process in order to maintain tight seal. My rubber gaskets were tightly fit so I used a flat plastic shim to raise them as I inserted the hard plastic protectors (similar action to mounting a foldable racing bicycle tire on a rim). Perhaps needs extra force to do, but the end result was an OEM-like look and feel.

Appreciate your comment. There is no glue underneath the factory rubber seal at all when I removed it. So putting it back would be the same way as it came from the factory. @@dadstoyscars agree, there’s no glue but I didn’t want to take the chance of undoing something I couldn’t put back in place as it was. My OCD kicked in, used the shim and muscle memory from bike tire removal & installation. Btw-thanks for making this video. It helped make my install less stressful.

Hi Paul, another great video,,,,I have a question for you on Floor Mats. My Model Y is incoming in a month and I wanted to order a complete set of mats for the car, especially the rear cargo and rear seat backs, (I have dogs the live back there). How would you compare the LasFit mats to so the 3-D Max or the Turoaz Mats or any other ones? I’m interested in quality and comfort, but protective mats. Thanks

Hi Fred, 3D Max and Turoaz are practically the same but Turoaz is a little more affordable. If you’re looking for durability then Lasfit and Turoaz are both great. I think Lasfit offers better overall design and look for your car but Turoaz floor mats are the easiest to clean. If you have then you will definitely need the rear seats back protection. Carpeting might be a slight hassle to clean but it's there for a reason. It's meant to dampen cabin noise echo. If you start covering every surface with plastics you'll completely cancel out the dampening benefits. Can't even imagine listening to music in that plastic echo chamber 😜
