Thanks for checking out this video, it's the first one I've ever done so apologies for the terrible editing and the lack of volume when the camera is on the tripod 🤦♂️😂 Hope you've found it useful, good luck on the bank 🎣🎣
Thanks for making this I was interested in maybe upgrading from the mrk2 but since I have the 100t as well probably won't. The extra zipped windows look useful being able to adjust them from the inside is clever in tight swims, but I can't say I ever felt I needed more head room in a titan. They are very dark inside and do stay cool because of that even on hot days. My favourite bivvy ❤
Well done ! Nice video! I'm after a bivvy or brolly with extension. Still getting opinions about which one to choose. Your video very well showing all pluses and minuses. Which is really nice to see and hear honest opinion
Very helpful review. Was considering either thia or the Trakker Tempest 100 Bivvy but this looks better as its an enclosed capsule, which is an extra on the Trakker model. Thank you for the review👌
The best video I have seen on the new titan. Have had titans all my fishing life. Got the titan T2 camo will be upgrading soon they are the best. The inside capsule is a must keeps everything out. Have looked at all the other bivvies nothing compares. Only thing i have done is put a groundsheet underneath my one as sharp stones can damage the inside capsule groundsheet. Well done great video 👍🤗
@@OldSkoolCarpMan yes I damaged my one slightly when first used it did not see the sharp stones underneath then realised how thin the material was. So got the extra ground sheet. Apart from that the extra ground sheet keeps the tent warmer in winter months just that extra barrier. Can't wait to upgrade now to your one 🤗
Do you struggle getting the poles apart when taking it down? I got a t1 pro and used it today tried taking it down and the poles were so difficult. Especially the two outer ones
I've spent 8 nights in mine now so it's been put up a few times now. So far I've only found the joints to be a bit reluctant once but with a use they're getting easier each time.
did you have problems with the tension bar? I owned alot of Titans and have always been satisfied, but since this mesh solution in the new pro models instead of the clip for the tension bar i have alot of struggles. If i put it inside the mesh and try to clip the tension bar onto the poles it only goes with ALOT of force and the 'clips' at each end of the tension bar look very unhealthy out of shape. Definitly not how its supposed to be, i tried around for an hour in all ways i could think of, but i did not find a solution.
Cheers 😊 I did around 8 nights in it in hot and wet weather and was happy with it in both. I really like the ventilation you can still have when it's raining. The material is different to the previous model, it's 20,000 hydrostatic head instead of 5,000 before. It's not too thick but feels tough enough and of decent quality.
Treat it the same as a smaller Titan, pull the block into your chest/tummy then pull the material up towards the block then spread the legs out. Today on the bank it took less than 4mins from opening the bag to the first peg going in.
Good watch , with the peek being so high have you had any trouble in high winds with it ? Packing down do you fold the broken down arms into the boss then roll it up ?
I'll admit to being a fair weather angler these days 🤦♂️😂 I've had it up with strong winds blowing from behind the bivvy which was zero problem but not from the front yet. And yes, that's exactly how I put it away, plenty of space in the bag too so it's quite easy.
@@OldSkoolCarpMan thanks for the info yes I was worried about the peek but titans are so sturdy and robust I don’t think would be a problem , packing down my mr2 was a mare getting it back in bag lol but I guess if roll it properly shouldn’t be a problem , thank you
Well done mate best video out there I’ve also researched all other bivvys and this T1 pro is the best out there you’ve persuaded to buy one I hope Nash appreciates your efforts?
Cheers mate, I've not received a single penny or any recognition from Nash but that's ok because if I decide to review anything else in the future people will know that my review hasn't been influenced by anyone else and is totally my own opinion 👍
The only answer I can think of is that mine was one of the first to arrive in the UK. I know 2 other people who got theirs around the same time and they're identical to mine.
Just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone who has viewed, liked and commented on this video. I never even imagined it'd reach 30,000 views 😳😳 Thanks again and tight lines 🎣🎣 Andy
Great bit of quality kit and I've just ordered a Nash Pro. It very much reminds my @HotTent_RBM_Outdoors which I love because it pops up in seconds like an umbrella. I use for fishing trips and when I go on holiday to do some ice fishing as it's got an trap door in the floor.
The Pro version comes with an inner capsule. The standard versions come with an internal vapour shield and HD groundsheet. You can buy an HD groundsheet from Nash
Tbh I'm a terrible fair weather angler these days so I didn't get to use it in properly cold conditions but with the inner capsule you won't get condensation even in winter as there's a decent gap gap between the inner and outer shell.
I do mention that in the video but I was too far from the microphone so it's in the part where it sounds like I'm talking to myself 🤦♂️ The only problem is that currently you can't buy the internal vapour shield so condensation will become an issue during certain weather conditions. I'll be getting the heavy duty groundsheet anyway as the floor of the inner capsule is pretty thin and susceptible to damage from anything sharp.
I did look at the Hide Camo Pro XL as I have the smaller version but as soon as this was announced I put an order in as it just looked spot on for size and features.
Hi, yes you can. It arrives with the inner capsule already installed. You can also just about pack it away with the front in-fill panel left in too as long as you unzip both sides of the door.
i suggest removing the capsule, it depends on if you only buy it for that feature or not. Without the capsule it weights alot less, the packdown and build up time for the tent is WAY easier and you dont have to scram it into the bag. I always had it installed in older models until a friend said, try it without, its another world. Highly recommend if you dont mind insects... after All, why'd u call yourself a fisherman when u buy a tent with a capsule to avoid nature? ;)
@@OldSkoolCarpMan thanks mate , will look into getting the chair , with the high porch now do you get any problems with strong winds because it’s higher up ??
I assume you have had it up and down a few times now, what is the realistic set up and pack down time with this? I’m talking from unzipping the bag to it being fully set up?
Due to work commitments it's only been used 3 times. Realistically for me and my dodgy back I reckon 5mins from bag to pegged out and front attached. If you do get one I'd recommend getting some quick release inserts for the storm poles as I've found them to be a bit fiddly.
There is a groundsheet built into the capsule but it's quite thin so needs something heavy duty underneath if you fish swims with tree roots or stones. A heavy duty groundsheet is available to buy from Nash.
@OldSkoolCarpMan OK thanks the 1 on angling direct looks a lot lighter than yours which is putting me off, it's between this and the tempest rs100 Great video 👍
@@bgn8613 thanks, the camo is much better looking on the bank than the photos. The RS100 is a cracking bivvy but a lot smaller and much less headroom than the Titan. Both very nice bits of kit 👍
I brought one and the second pole from the right snapped clean off at the joint when I went to erect it, I had no resistance while fanning it out !!!!!, never had an issue with the Trakker or cyprinus bivvies I have had , I am gutted , owned it for 24 hours 😢
That's not good. I'd like to think that'd be replaced under warranty as you've not had it for 5 minutes! I've got one arriving tomorrow. Hope you get it sorted.
Definitely not what you expect from a piece of kit at that price. Hopefully the tackle shop you got it from will get that sorted as Nash customer service is pretty good at dealing with faulty gear.
@@MW_1981 They are finally picking it up today and hopefully I will get a replacement under warranty , even with the broken pole I managed to get it set up in the garden , they are a nice a bit off kit !
What bedchair do you have, it looks like it’s more or less touching at both ends? Is it 210cm long? The extra height makes such a difference to useable space, technically a smaller footprint (2.76m wide x 2.28m deep) than a 100t (2.6m wide x 2.4m deep). Great video, thanks.
@@OldSkoolCarpMan thanks. I can relate to that. I’ve just got a trakker rlx 8 leg bedchair for the extra height, now time to upgrade the bivvy. The only thing I can see that let’s this awesome bivvy down is the lack of magnetic mozzy mesh like trakker and solar do, I can’t believe something so functional and simple isn’t a standard thing.
