An interesting question is to ask new owners how they are licensed in their state. Noncommercial, cdl, etc. Your videos just keep getting better and better. Great job on the editing and splicing all the content together!!

Awesome video!! Lots of your time to make it so nice!! Thank you. After driving 23 years OTR & now retired - we are so glad we kept our Peterbilt "RV" for the safety factors. It sure makes us feel safe higher up to see more & be stable with any weight trailer & all our toys! We Hope to see you & Rickey more at the East Coast Rally 2024!! Lori&Jay

For me personally I don’t want to drive an HDT for pleasure after driving commercial for 41 plus years. I look at it as a novelty. And the safety aspect of it is only in the hands of the person driving. They do limit where you can stay . And having to have a secondary vehicle to get around.

I can see your point, 41 years is a long time to be driving this country. Today your dually trucks do come with more horse power and brake power. Actually the safety issues come with the very large rigs such as SpaceCraft and Luxe and some heavier DRV's. A lot of folks living full time prefer the large rigs. We still have the MDT and it works for us to pull our 46 ft toyhauler and also to use as a daily driver. Thank you for following along on our journey.

@@RVLifeSoaringTogether Yes I agree with the Space Craft and Luxe and some of the New Horizon rigs. We have been full time for two years ! We have a 2022 Riverstone 42fskg 21,000 gross weight and tow it with a 2022 F-450 it has all of the bells and whistle. I believe another RU-vid couple is there to learn more about HDT’s they have the Green and white Grand Design. I guess if it gets them more viewers more power to them.

HDT’s really started in the rodeo world when the 4-6 horse trailers got their first living quarters. Some of those trailers weigh over 22,000 lbs empty!!

We are so going to have to come and do the rally next year. Also loved to see an Alliance Valor with a Goldwing parked at the front with a Canadian 🇨🇦flag flying. We did a double take as we thought it was us ha ha.

What are the advantages vs a class A RV? Is it easier to turn?

I wonder what is the most comfortable to drive and ride in. I see a lot of Volvos but if I go to the trucker channels most say they are nice but the price to repair and availability of parts which leads to too much downtime persuades them to another manufacturer. Are there any videos to confirm?

would you do me a favor and ask the people with the International Lonestar if they were in Rapid City, SD for the Rally? MY husband and I do a lot of "truck watching" and saw one that looked like them at America's Mailbox RV Park. We have an old Mack farm truck, our project, she is a gem. Al tho we wouldn't trade her for anything, we still like to ogle other stuff.

I don't think so, since they are classified as an RV on the title. Ours is different since it is a medium duty truck, but we do have a "not for hire" on the truck and for our insurance coverage we can only pull our RV.

Hi, I'm looking to purchase a Truck Tractor and want to register it as an RV HDT in Texas, but unfortunately, I called my local Texas DMV and they are not familiar with the process other than commercially, does someone know anyone that has an RV HDT registered in Texas and how they went about it or what forms were used or explained to TX DMV. I mentioned it would be registered as an RV, but they still did not understand.

Also check with your local RV dealer for 5th wheels. In Texas also talk to a Farm Bureau ins agent.
