For those kinds of weighted exercises, how many reps, series, rest etc... ? I want a real workout planning exclusively for basketball If anyone can help me !
Honestly most of these exercises are completely ridiculous. When you strength train you just need to do the basic lifts and do one set of each to at or near failure and allow plenty of time for recovery between workouts. Thats how you get bigger muscles. Then you take those muscles and apply them to sport specific skills.
@@twist7533 I don't know more about basketball skills etc. But when it comes to exercise you don't need to lean in all kinds of weird directions to work your abs at all different angles, or do lunges while hugging a medicine ball. If you want to work legs get on a leg press and do slow, controlled reps, one set to failure, once or twice per week max and your legs will blow up in strength.
@abender06. You are absolutely correct about a lot of trainers just being good salesmen. And the other guy coming at you because he thinks all these players trainers actually know what their doing is completely ignorant and unaware of just how much politics, salesmanship, and ignorance actually makes its way into these pro circles. It's actually astounding how little alot of these people know. However, I think you are going to far in the other direction. You're just thinking about hypertrophy. But a lot of these exercises weren't being done to build muscle. But instead to work on balance and stabilization and coordination of muscles. You also don't want pro athletes to just do compound lifts. It trains the body to move too stiffly. If that's all the weight lifting you do.
