Nice to see Josie Barnes on the bench with the coach supporting her old team. Surprised she got no mention as she is a 4 time PWBA champion who has continued her Vanderbilt association.
I had to look back bc I thought you were talking about when she moves Victoria out of the way when she was also trying to tell Mabel about her shot. But I totally missed this
@@kkorve26Vanderbilt finishing up with stacks of open frames, would just let Arkansas back into the game, however, when Santa lifts off, then that would be the signal for his elves to switch off their machinery, and close the workshop.
@@byronrobbins8834 Arkansas STATE* Arkansas (as you put it) as a totally separate University than Arkansas STATE (who was playing). . . . . . Arkansas is in Fayetteville and Arkansas State is in Jonesboro
Two things I have noticed about the women's game. 1) They have not gravitated to the "Two Handed" style like the men have. 2) Their technique as far as "arm swing" goes is much better than the men.
Women's bowling are often much better since they tend to shoot straighter. The two-handed thing is just the boyish thing I've ever seen in a sport; the two hander in this match are one of the worst to be honest. Power and rev goes first, which bowling on these patterns proves to be false. Many of these girls will be on the WPBA tour in a near future, which I think is really needed. I want more diversity and mixed players on television matches and in the finals.
Call me ageist and sexist all you want but seeing the older (at least mid 20s) MEN pros bowling is so much more fun. Jason Belmonte and EJ Tackett and Wes Mallott and Sean Rash for example score WAY BETTER.
I ain’t gonna insult any of the young woman buttt I feel like the spares I’ve seen missed on this is a tad bit ridiculous. Spares are what makes you win or lose games
these lanes are no better or worse than a house shot. why do the women get this kind of oil and men get something that you can barley catch the head pin
@@fireprincess17bowling95 still doesn't make it not funny. NCAA softball and basketball does same thing over nothing. I just turn the channel and watch something else
This is the collegiate atmosphere, dude. Watch it or don't. But those of us who have been there as a competitor or viewer know it's fun as heck. It's such a cool vibe to be in the mix of it all and there's really no reason to artificially tone it down for TV, particularly since this is how the teams have functioned to get this far.
This is what they got a college scholarship for, wow.. I can bowl better then their whole team on a bad day. And what's with all the High Fives for christ sake... no wonder you don't see this on tv, it's ridiculous.
This is the atmosphere at nearly every collegiate tournament. It is much louder and energetic than just about any other tournament I have bowled, but it's also really exciting and fun.
Dan, why don't you give us your USBC# so we can verify? The Dan Girard in the DC area I see has a 190-200 average on a house shot league .. that you? These teams are bowling on a super flat sport shot; any one of these girls could easily average 225+ on a standard house condition. These kids are super talented, some of the best in the world and a few will be successful on the pwba for sure.
@@JDMac-dq8qh Oohh I'm sure there are a few of them that could be on the PWBA, but none of the ones in this video. And just because you only see the house shot, doesn't mean they don't offer the sports shot on weekends :) I've bowled it dude, I have the same avg on a house shot or a sports shot, and I used 2 balls, and 1 plastic. I've been bowling longer then most of these girls have been alive.
