Good to meet you finally man. Really enjoyed your review. If anyone in these comments want to see how a professional does it, go and check out Will's channel.
super review Eric, been waiting for it since Mr.P said you had been invited for the party so to say. love that your honest, u say your opion, both the good stuff and the weaker stuff.. today the 15.06 they had launch day for it and the ET5 touring. and with the price they have put on it, im very sure that will be park outside the house soon ;) And as a first to buy perch, all buying here in Europe before the 31 juli, will get the luxus comfort pack included. the one with heat in all seats, 14 point position seats, cooling in the seats and all that.. Give a sound next time in Norway, could be fun saying Nihao to you, and show u some of the norwegian mountains.
Thanks for that „normal“ view of a user. The internet needs guys like you, who don‘t care for specs. As you say it: Does it make you happy? That‘s the one basic question. For me, no other car brand made me feel so happy and connected to it, how NIO and my EL7 does it. Keep up the great work, Eric. 🤘🏻
Wow, such a refreshing intelligent review! I drivecan electric car too and I agree wholeheartedly about what's really important. Too many reviewers are comparing every new car to tesla.. speed, charging... no, the average person doesn't care about that
Great overview of the ES6 (EL6). It would be great if you could make a review/overview for the Bayan 2.0. I have a ES7/EL7 and im really looking forward to the update. Hope it fixes he bungee cruise and the zigzag niopilot. How is your experience with the ES6/7?
Model Y getting some real competition in China with this, the Denza N7 and there updated Xpeng G6. Will be interesting to see the relative sales figures in China in the next few months. Perhaps a portend of what will happen in Asia and Europe later on.
Been following you for awhile now Eric, and I would say your video and content quality have defo improved tremendously! Keep the awesome content coming.
“Shorter people” 13:08 Yes thats my little legs! Yeah at 170cm/5’7” the gravity mode worked cos my legs hung off the end suspended. For you taller guys it didn’t really look like it was working. But it was funny watching you “taller people” perplexed about how it was “zero gravity: 😂😂😂
People in China are really asking too much for such a price range. I bought my Honda Odyssey in 2014 for $40k but the quality and service is poor. I will pay $2k more to get the ES6 if that's an option.
The NIO experience in China is to be envied. The NIO experience in Norway is not, there is barely any mobile service, no mobile charging, just a few swap stations, taking your car to NIO Service means you are going back as soon as you figure out what they broke. The OTA are scarce and half the time broken and retracted. Add that we cannot upgrade our NT1 to NT1.5 (Alder) and there is no trade-in if we want a new NIO, owner loyalty is weak. Probably why NIO Norway don't dare to do a NPS, even if users encourage them to. NIO claims roughly 50k visitors at Oslo NIO House per month, with less then 2000 sold cars, 99.998% doesn't end up buying a car, in marketing terms this must be disastrous. For us users it means the NIO house is crowded with lots of children running around. Totally agree with the car being a smooth driver and they are good looking vehicles, but I doubt many Norwegian owners here would ever consider buying a NIO again. In Europe the sales are even worse, perhaps 600 units since January including NIO owned vehicles. Something needs to be done if NIO is to persist in Europe.
Hopefully they can turn it around somehow out there because I also didn’t have a great experience with nio in europe when I subscribed in Germany. Was quite shocking how much of the company culture they failed to transfer over… I will try to go back maybe in the fall and see if it has improved compare to a year ago, but I haven’t heard great things. Any word on why they won’t let you guys upgrade the chip out there?
Why does LI auto and x peng lately out selling NIO? NIO seems to have way better products and cars and designs and everything so explain? Do they have a bad reputation in China? Is there some sort of bias or negative publicity from somewhere in China or related to the CCP? I am an investor but I don’t understand what’s holding this company up. It gets frustrating when you see other car sales and then compare them to NIO.
I’m guessing it’s because Nio is priced 20-40% higher compared to Li auto or Xpeng in China. And the market competition is cut-throat. People compare specs more than many other things. Also Nio doesn’t offer hybrid models like Li auto and Xpeng, which are currently very well received in China.
I also hope Nio and to ALL CHINA MADE EV do listen to all the consumers said... WE WANT SOME PHYSICAL BUTTON FOR A/C AND VOLUMN KNOB!!!!!!! STOP PUTTING EVERYTHING IN ONE FORKING TOUCHSCREEN!!!! Have they not learned yet how farking inconvenient to go through touch screen while driving to find air con or volume or while map navigating that have to skip the screen! And for goodness farking sake... have a personal configuration preset everytime when start the engine instead of going through the setting again. The alert sound is really forking annoying shit out of my nerves! I understand is for safety reason to default but the annoying resetting and redo is also casuing mental oppression to depression then to emotional damage!
You should be able to save your driver profile with most of your settings. Only one in China that doesn’t “save” is the pedestrian warning sound because by law you have to turn it off manually. Also it doesn’t save your preferred audio ie Bluetooth vs Spotify etc, I agree that should be fixed. What else is not saving for you?
@@Eric_Garrison The car's safety setting is always on default once you start your engine. No matter what car's setting configuration you previously set. Is all go back to default when engine start again. The speed warning sound alert, the sensor sound alert, the driving mode. And can not switch off the alert sound when you leaving your car with window open. Nor switch off warning sound from setting. So far i've tested drive most of Chinese brand cars in Australia is all come in like that. And worst part is when you put on reverse drive and all your audio music sound is muted.
NiO may well be a good car to those who buy it. But it's a total and utter failure to the NIO shareholder. NIO is going down, it's a failure of a company. It won't last. And I say this as a NIO shareholder. The stock is a total failure thus they will not last much longer.
IF NIO RAFFLES their cars they will be able to PRICE the CAR at Any VALUE. ..NIO just REDUCED the price of their cars by $4200...They don't have to do that with a RAFFLE. They can REVERT to the original PRICE, say $50,000. Every time someone buys a $2.50 Coffee or DRINK at a NIO house they are AUTOMATICALLY entered into a RAFFLE....WORLD-WIDE! Imagine the EXCITEMENT, Local NEWS coverage in GERMANY, NORWAY, Sweden, RUSSIA, CHINA.....RU-vid videos about the WINNER, FACEBOOK showing what the winner did with his $2.50 PURCHASE. NIO could just have a LOTTERY ONCE a WEEK to NOT over SATURATE the EXCITEMENT about winning..FAMILY would want to have Lunch or just hang out at a NIO house. Everyone would be TREATING their friends to a NIO drink "to increase their chances to win"..all for $2.50....NIO could move a 1000 cars a WEEK. NIO has 120 NIO houses Worldwide open 8 hrs a day...Lets say an ET5 Cost $50,000 and NIO sells each "LOTTERY" COFFEE or DRINK at $2.50.....That would mean 120 NIO houses would only need to sell on average 166, $2.50 drinks a day, or 21, $2.50 drinks per hour over an 8 hr period, to equal $50,000. With those odds PEOPLE would make it a HABIT to visit a NIO house EVERYDAY! NIO Houses already host , Yoga, Media Sessions, Business Functions, Child spaces, Business meeting spaces...ETC...Get William one on one and present this to him. Those EXTRA CARS moved out of INVENTORY at FULL cost WILL Help NIO. Even people that already own a NIO would want to Participate. They are DRIVEN with wanting to have a chance get a NIO for NOTHING to OFFSET their purchase!
