I test drove this car along with all the others it competes with (Civic, Forte, Elantra, Mazda3, Impreza and Jetta) and came away almost mad at how close to perfect the Sentra was. It has all of the tech I wanted, a fantastic interior, beautiful exterior, plenty of room, great price, and good-enough handling. Unfortunately the power was so weak that it became a deal breaker. I would floor it multiple times during the ride and my friend couldn't tell, he thought I was intentionally driving slow! By the end of the ride I just couldn't see myself being happy with the car past the first few months. If they had an option for a more powerful engine I would gladly pay a couple thousand extra. If power is not a factor for you this car is the best of the bunch.
Rented this car for a Road trip from Chicago to Dallas Texas and was pleasantly surprised by this little car. I got the SV version it had a decent amount of pep and averaged about 43 mpg driving 75-85, so not bad

I watched your review last month, I brought my 3rd car from Nissan, the Stanza in 1983, the Altima in 2007 and now the Sentra SV, pick it up 5/13, need I say more, I love their cars, Sentra is out of sight ❤️ it rides good, plenty of room for my 6ft frame, sound system is nice 🎶
From a huge 2018-2022 Honda Accord fan, I was let down drastically with the 2023 Accord. This Sentra SR has always been my second favorite design. I think its time I consider this Sentra SR because its the only beautiful budget sedan out right now.

Nice review. Great exterior style. It's hard for Honda to sell the Civic as low priced as the Sentra, VW Jetta, Kia Forte, etc because they are made in Mexico and Civic is made in Canada (sedan) and US (hatchback).
I love the look, especially two tone roof, more than the civic actually, but no rear vents for me is must. Wish they had a trim with rear vents, would gladly pay it.
This Sentra is a sharp looking ride. If it had AWD, I would definitely consider it. Going to check out the 2023 Altima now that it comes with AWD. Can't drive SUVs, they destroy my spinal column which is hanging by a thread, for REAL.
@@Scotty-vs4lf Didn't buy any new cars yet. My current ride is a 2012 Honda Accord coupe, it's sporty and rides well. I'm not under the gun to buy a new car, but I was looking. My mother has an Altima, 2009, and it's been going strong. Never had any major problems. I never understood why there is so much hate for the Altima. Everyone tells me to buy a SUV, but I have a bad back and I have never had a comfortable ride in a SUV, yet I need to have the extra help of an AWD because I work in healthcare and I need to get to the hospital in the winter time. I can't just call out whenever there's a snow storm; that's why I am researching all sedans that come with AWD. These types of sedans would be the best option for me. I was happy when I heard that the new Altimas come with AWD. I am seriously considering buying the Altima with AWD. The Sentra is nice looking but it doesn't have AWD. I like the 2023 Altima with AWD, it's definitely on my list. What do you think about the new 2023 AWD Altima??? Would you recommend it??? Thanks for your opinion. I appreciate the feedback.
@@lanaofficiel4042 I have a 2022 Altima SV with AWD. Drives great, and is very sure footed on slippery roads / light snow covered roads. I had a 2018 Altima, but that was just front drive. Overall, the 2022 drives and handles better than the 2018, and the CVT is much better. Nissan has made it feel like a standard automatic with gear shifts. If you were not told it was a CVT, you woudl really have no idea. I had a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek with CVT which was always hunting for a gear, so not great. the 2018 Altima was miles better than the Subaru and my 2022 Altima is another giant leap forward. By the Altima AWD and you won't be disappointed.
@@truckercowboyed2638 Buy the Altima, NISSAN ain’t putting a turbo in due to cost. The Sentra, Kicks, Versa are affordable vehicles not racing vehicles with a turbo......
@@crow_2k11beatsbydre8 I'm talking about the Sentra through its history had a turbo variant... either in the case of SE-R or the 2017 SR Turbo, it made that little car more fun especially if you got the nismo version with the 6 speed....
6 speed manual available in Canada on the S and SR trims for 2023 Sentra, (most) Americans too lazy to shift gears and are stuck with the CVT...........
