Congrats on a great video Steven. I know you and lee just finished up pinhoti. I don't know how they were able to get 2 studs on the same trail at one time. That should be illegal
Amazing video to go with a great race! I found your channel training for Leadville and it’s really gotten me motivated to get into races. Ran a half marathon in Frisco for my first ever race and now looking to register for a full marathon in Leadville next year. Keep the videos coming!
Congratulations!! You and your crew looked like a well oiled machine, taking 100 miles and the "aw craps" along the way in stride!! All of your tough training paid off. Next 100, top 10?
Loved the video…I watched it last week and forgot to comment! It was pretty cool to be out there at the same time while attempting my FKT! A few of the aid stations I passed even let me partake lol! Congrats again on your 17th place finish and very solid time!
If you were not aware but i used to get really bad blister as well in my speedlands before i rrummed down the front of the insoles to make them flat instead of the "boat affect" a lot of people suffer from front toe blisters with the sleedlands. Kinda unfortunate.... suuper stocked for you on 2, 100 milers!!
Congrats on your race. Looks like an amazing course. No Business has been on my radar for awhile. I just found out my brother and family are moving to Knoxville TN (from AZ) next year so maybe I’ll run that or another local race someday. I’m in Oregon so southern trails are foreign to me but it looks beautiful.
Hey Steven 🙂 Hey, you did really well 😃🏃♂️. Your placement in several categories were all really good 👍…… 7th age group, 20th overall out of 200 + ? runners I believe ! And 20th out of 220 male runners I believe as well…. Pretty darn good ! You should consider the Javelina Jundred 100 next year….. I bet you’d do great in it ! Those blisters looked 😖😖😖😖..yeeee-ouch ! I’m sure you’re healed by now. You hear of the Rugged Red 13.1 mile trail race in Red River Gorge State park in Kentucky? Held in September yearly…. I’m doing that next year and another one in November… The Hillbilly Half (13.1 Mike ) trail race in Kentucky ( Jefferson Memorial Forest park )! Anyway, Congrats on your race….and Great Job sir 😃👍
Thank you, Mike! I had to cut all the excess skin of the blisters and it’s still healing, but not preventing me from running. I’ve run a 50km race in the Red River Gorge before. Beautiful area!
@@UltraTrailSteven You remember the name of that 50k ? Interesting. Glad those things are healing ❤️🩹….. I got a cortisone shot in my knee yesterday, so I’m not suppose to run today and tomorrow 🙄😣☹️. Friday I’m all good to go 👍🏃♂️.
@@UltraTrailSteven I’ll just stick with the 13.1 rugged red,….. 2025, 50k trail race in Brown County state park in Indiana will be my first 50k 🙂👍. Thx 😊
Congratulations!! Great race! The trails looked pretty leaf covered. I was wondering how much of the trails were technical. I have ankle issues as well so was wondering how rocky and rooty they are. Thanks and great work!
Blisters!! I wear thin synthetic/nylon socks under conventional socks. The sweat of your feet makes the inner layer stick to your feet, so any rubbing is sock on sock, not sock on skin... Just sayin.
I’ve done that in the past. Typically I don’t have issues with blisters. However, the water crossings and the Speedland shoes were the issues. Feet were sliding around in them once they got wet
@@UltraTrailSteven epic! Mine come on Tuesday, hoping I made the right call on 11.5 vs my 12 I wear in Hoka. I’ve always said I need an 11 3/4 lol so we will see. Nice work with the race as well 👌🏻
@@UltraTrailSteven they’re not extremely wide, but I do find Hoka shoes and Nike to be pretty much the absolute tightest I can go. We’ll see, they weren’t cheap 😅
