All seedlings are genetic individuals even if they are seedlings from cultivars as pawpaws are not true to seed. So, you just have a pawpaw, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not a good one. Cultivars are propagated through grafting onto a seedling rootstock - you have the seedling root stock, minus the graft. Not that there's anything wrong with that [Jerry Seinfeld voice]
@@CremeDeMentia thanks my fruits came from just 5 different front yard trees in Lawrenceburg Kentucky. Thought to be grafted trees as they said they got fruit 3 yrs after setting the nursery trees. One tree drops later than there others. This is my 3rd yr getting fruit from them. Keep seeds every yr but haven't followed through with starting any. This yrs seeds will be planted for sure! If only I'd started 3 yrs ago
@@otis3357Unless those front yard trees were specifically advertised as being grafted when the folks bought them they were likely only seedlings, however, they could be very happy or from good heritage. I have a video on growing from seed as well as an activity page comic that shows how, I'll follow up with a link.
