I agree on the looks. I would buy this just on the looks alone. I test drove this car last month and it’s impressive. The sales and service center on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn’t feel as if they are ready to support any issues this car may have in the future. Even the sales person didn’t really know much about EV’s. The user interface is also quite messy. I would get it if they sorted out the software - but I wouldn’t hold my breath. I’m looking forward for your full review of the Atto 3. Value wise, it seems at least to me, at that price range - the Atto 3 is the better value car.
Honestly the BYD Atto 3 seems like a much better deal considering that both the standard and long range versions get the LFP battery and it’s a bigger and more practical car.
I followed behind a Good Car at night, the missing rear light on both side of the car (like other normal cars) is something I'm uncomfortable with. I quickly move aside to other lane. Uncomfortable bcos I feel it's dangerous for me to follow as I am unused to not seeing the rear light at the usual place even though it has a long light bar at rear screen. Try it yourself to follow behind one & you will udrstd my weird feeling.
How is the road tax being calculated for an EV in Malaysia ? Also how waterproof is this car when there is like 20 to 30cm water on the road will that be a problem? Is the battery the only difference between both variants? Or does the cheaper also have less functions ?
Hi Hafiz. You did mention that the 500 ultra is chargeable until 80% whereas the 400 is chargeable to 100%. Will it effect the battery warranty if you were to charge the 500 ultra to 100% capacity? Thank you bro.
Did a test drive, with a Honda Jazz hybrid as background. It is a seriously nice car, the Cool Cat. But iya.. the dashboard screen and software. For the AC, we were advised to just manually switch to fan when driving and it gets too cold. Seriously? My worry is that the producer is so vastly remote from its ultimate customers, it's not gonna understand the need for a materially responsive software update >> yesterday
Good review, but you guys should display the figures when talking about numbers. Its quite confusing if hafiz or any presenter just talk like this. Overall, kinda like this cat, might consider it

Test driven one in person. It's not really feeling like it's built with quality. For example, the middle console is very plasticky, and if you put some force on it, it moves, as if it's made from cheap thin plastic. The UI is HORRENDOUS. You won't be able to use it while driving. Also the meter cluster is very dim under full afternoon sunlight. And the engine bay is.... for lack of a better word, a nightmare. It's not clean, full of yellow markings.
That infotainment system is just an utter disaster. At least spare the effort to properly translate the UI. What is shown in the video looks like an half-assed zero effort work and it's an horrible first impression to be honest. I wonder if this problem only applies to the Malaysian Good Cat? Cause I watched the review from Carwow and I don't recall Matt voicing this out.
guys are you kidding me? this small electric car is so fking expansive in malaysia only why i dont know. first of all look to the design first from back its so ugly sign i never seen before second one the Infront of the car also old fashion design and u told me this car is about 130 or 140 or 160 OMG that's ridiculous and you forget that car is made in china 6 years will die . this car at least can be the price is about 60 to 80k no more than that but the problem is about the car marketing in malaysia some of companies that they import cars from out so cheap and sell the car in malaysia so high without any experience of services and maintenance also. 140K hahah that's ridiculous
apart from the bonnet and seats its kinda ugly and bland in western terms, along the lines of a old corolla or a suzuki swift , the boot is also too too small AND a really nerdish name lol . Will definitely be a rare sight on uk roads as there are better and more choices of ev over here . If it was a 20 k -25 k sterling it might have a chance. Temptation to buy or own 3 out of 10
