So Jeremy, in the intro you're saying that my friends are gonna like me more if I wear your gear and therefore is "cooler"? Unfortunate comment in my eyes. Luckily, my friends like me for who I am and how I am as a person, not based on what I wear.
This is the course design that should be emulated. There aren't 10 million OB flags, there aren't any elevated baskets. The difficulty is the distance and the landscape. Perfect.
John Houck is a firm believer of natural ob. Deep rough will give strokes, light rough is maybe saveable. It rewards great shots and punishes accordingly.
Yeah, this type of course separates the men from the boys. So tired of those long, wide open bomber courses. Can't wait for them to hit Illinois and the woods.
@@jcrow62 This is how our local course here in Maine is. Stay on the fairway or close to it and you're fine. The further off you go the worse it gets. We don't need OB flags.
Ive played 15+ John Houck courses... they are at the top of my favorites list. He does so many things right and puts his signature style on all of them. Placement golf, tight greens, and score separating holes are always a part of his designs.
@@jcrow62 Doug Jabba Williams is a course designer in Missouri and Mississippi he’s designed nothing but A1 courses by using the landscape as is and not allowing repetitiveness in the shot order. His eye for an 18 is of the greats.
Kudos to Jomez for taking the often critical remarks about release times in stride and making efforts to release coverage earlier. We're grateful for all the hard work you put in!
It feels so odd not seeing Paul and Rick near the top of every leader board this year. People are really stepping up their game and I love it. Great job as usual, Jomez team.
I'm always amazed at the crazy high production quality you put out. I think someone who first sees disc golf and thinks it's stupid to throw frisbees around would see this quality and change their mind
Jomez I just want to say that I really like the current format my favorite so far! The cherry on top is getting to see the disc they are throwing on each shot, incredible!!
I haven't gotten to the end yet but there's no way this guy Isaac is going to lose. This guy is unbelievably good! I've never seen anything like this except for Mcbeast at last year's Worlds! Or Simon against Burridge!
Would love to have better audio of them welcoming/introducing the players at the beginning before they tee off, idk how possible or big of a deal that is. Love y'all's coverage and think y'all do an AMAZING job
If you guys can somehow film in 1440p or 2160p... DGN will have nothing over post produced. I know it's a ton of memory and batteries... but youtube would love it. (I think)
Ok, I've been seeing it in all the coverage and I just realized that the yellow, red, and blue dots refer to trees on the hole with the same color ring of tape around them. What do these colors mean? Are they measurements to the pin?
Measurements to the pin. I don't know what they are by color, and there doesn't seem to be a standard, but when it's used it appears to denote the distance that remains to the basket.
it would be awesome if in these double fairway holes, like 6, that there is a split screen drone taking both routes. There are holes with 2 gaps and we don't often get to see that...obviously just a suggestion, not taking away from the top notch coverage in any way
I really appreciate the quality coverage but I wish you guys (Big Jerm and Paul) would let the moment live a little more often and give the players their just due and space. So many times it seems you're talking about something else completely unrelated while a player is attempting an important putt or throwing a shot, as if that's some sort of backround noise. I can't be the only one who finds this annoying. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching Jomez Pro but I also think that just like players, there is always room for commentators to grow and improve. Just my amateur observations, please don't hate!
Jomez in 4K. Request has been sent. Requested this also last year. Also I don't like that you can't see all player scores together. You changed this why? Makes no sense at all. Otherwise, your coverage is great!
They are constantly talk about nerves and why isn’t issac nervous etc.. but athletes (especially that have played other sports at a high level) THRIVE on the pressure and tend to perform their best when the pressure is on.. I know disc golf is more mental and a different pace than many sports, but I think that thriving under pressure easily translates to DG
love the content, but gotta give some constructive criticism. There is a dire need to show chase cards in tournaments as of late, I think the lack of content showing what "could be" rids the ability to add the suspense of a possible upset or chase card champion. Saying "Wow maybe a possible chase card champ" and showing the final 2 holes is not enough to make viewers care about the gravity of the situation. I'd love it if you could find a way to team up with another crew or hire more cameras to keep tabs on what other cards are doing in these situations. watching live it was a nail-biter halfway through with Silas Schultz making a run and Robinson starting to slow down and throw bad shots. This feeling is missing when no content is provided to let the viewer feel these emotions. keep up the great work everyone!
@@playdiscgolf1546 anyone can “film” out there, not everyone has the right to publish it with the pdga and dgpt name on their video. That’s what jomez and gatekeeper are paying for
@@hagenschwark8908 actually not everyone can film them out there. Try taking a DSLR to a DiscGolf pro tour event without a media pass… they’ll tell you to put it away within the first three holes. Nearly everyone of these courses is in a reserved park or private space where they can in fact tell you not to film
I may in the minority here, but I am not a fan of the course design. It's a bit boring in that every hole looks the same. I get the technical aspect of it but it doesn't leave any room for creativity.
