Hey Jomez! Could you please just end this debate and let us know why you won't change back to the old scoring graphics? The majority of people want the old graphics back and how you showed the scores before. It was perfect. Could you please let us know why you won't change back? I appreciate any feedback for this from you Jomez! Yes I know there are about 4 of you out there who like the new graphics. Please just make your own post because the other 99% are about to stop watching Jomez and just turn to Gatekeeper/live.
Best course this season so far by a million miles. We need more courses like this where they're clean and give options, yet have enough obstacles and challenges to make it hard
Not a fan of the "spoilery" stats that show up nowadays on Jomez :( I much prefer the way central coast display where they show scores after an equal amount of holes played.
I'm curious what the justification for flashing the name of the disc they use on the drive for a fraction of a second just before they throw is. Why not put that info up as soon as they have the disc selected?
So, I really don't care overall, but just wanting to throw this out there, when watching post processed covered...I don't care about the those final scores...I really want to see how the others on the card were comparing at the time. In case someone is tabulating and making a decision. Knowing the hot score was a -9 when I just started watching theses guys is actually a negative for me...we get through 9 and they are nowhere close, I might decided there is no reason to watch.... However watching Gatekeeper coverage and realizing that someone shot 9 down through 9...impressive. But then discovering that they were also only 9 down(or less) through 18 while the card I'm watching is scraping towards that 9 I saw...that good stuff... I know people have been shouting this at you...but we don't want those final scores. We're literally not looking at udisc because I can't get on there and find previous round scores without spoilers...we just want to know what these players are doing...and what others were doing at the time. I get that's not the same as what we know during live coverage....but THIS ISN"T LIVE COVERAGE AND WHAT WE WANT TO BE PRESENTED WITH IS DIFFERNET THAN WHEN WE WATCH LIVE COVERAGE...
Yes, the equalized-score watching experience is much, much better than live: both more exciting and easier to follow (in addition to the obvious benefit using less time to see the same things). In fact, ever since Jomez added the equalized scores years back I have had zero interest in watching live coverage because of how much more exciting the post production format became with that innovation. In those rare cases of very last holes of the tournament where the players knowing the scores matters for their decisions, you can just mention it, or even better, show clips before each hole as it's been during the previous couple of seasons.
Personal opinion...I like it better when the scores are compared to others at the same hole...makes their score more relatable. Showing who's in after 18 and their final score is interesting...but less perspective compared to how well this foursome is doing at this hole.
I agree to an extent, but that's what the players see when checking live scoring. The earlier cards are in, and it can give added context to the decisions they make during the round. I could be persuaded either way what updates are shown, though. From a viewers perspective, it's almost more exciting to see it play out...
Knowing the scores of every player live is still not fun to watch. We want to know where other players were at that hole so we can compare apples to apples.
Exceptional work as always. I love the stories from past rounds at WR. I think it would be awesome if you added that video to the flashback discussion.
I prefer these wooded, technical courses. It brings more shot shaping and not just open hyzers all the time. This course is beautiful! ❤ And happy to see some blue and white colours in top spots! 🇫🇮
Sad to see Jomez is being stubborn with changing the graphics back. It's evident the vast majority of fans prefer the previous multiple years. Wish we would get some clarity on why they felt they had to change it.
For sure. I'm a top 10 founder club person, and the spoilers have me considering canceling. It also ruins the chase card coverage, which is not a cool move.
It has even regressed from last tournament. Reading the standings was easier when they greyed out players that had completed the course. Now we’re back to looking all over the interpret the scores for the few seconds it’s being displayed.
@@chrisp9824 There's been plenty of negative comments in almost every video since they started doing that in Vegas. I think Jomez should make a poll in RU-vid and/or Patreon and let fans decide. Personally I'm fine with new scoring but vould still vote the old one if I had a chance.
We're modernizing as a sport, as will coverage of the sport, and I think it's good for it, even if some OGs like the old design more, we want to see disc golf grow and our coverage advance more and more
I've stopped watching Jomez coverage. I like the post round coverage, with scores visible for all players on the card at the same time. When I want live coverage, I'll watch live. The current live score stuff is frustrating. It isn't helpful. And not showing the other players score makes me have to remember it all. Thats not why I watch. I watch to relax and enjoy. I ask different questions of the moment all the time, and want the info there. So I can keep track of the moment. I don't want the info on some other scoresheet I have to keep in my head or on paper. This is my last complaint. I'll go watch gatekeeper.
Hey, I really like your coverages but it would be pretty cool, if we could see how the scores of the other players were on the same amount of holes. Or is this not possible, because it says "live scores" but it is not live.
you gotts have some sort of error in the scores since at the end it said after 9 Eagle and Robinson at the same score.. yeah that could be right but they r not playing on the same card so it should be after 9 holes and after 10 if mcmahon is 1 hole ahead..
In my opinion the best kind of forehand for hole 8 is a deep hyzer release with a flippy disc. Lift the wing most of the way up, and then glide right at the bend getting the "straight" finishing line running to the right.
I like the other options to watch pros, but Jomez is the OG and bar far the best editing and commentary is not even close. Thanks for the great coverage!
They can follow through. I think after the disc leaves their hands then their foot can go wherever it wants. The only time you can't follow through is in the circle.
Nice clean wooded course that punishes inaccuracy with good old fashioned trees. Lets go Issac, I want to watch more of that effortless putt on lead card tomorrow!
