Join me for part 2 of my planner setup series as I setup up my classic Happy Planner work planner for 2023! Since I am a full time content creator/influencer, I need a planner for all things social media. I am doing a little bit of frankenplanning - combining different planners together to make the perfect planners for me! Mary Ellen perhaps you can leave your work planner open and on your desk, maybe up on a stand, so you have that visual in front of you at all times. Kind of like the grocery list when you're at the store. Plus you are making so many pages for other people you have to remember to stay ahead on your own undated planner. You do have a lot going on. I love your set-up ideas!!

I really love your videos and can deeply relate to a lot of personal things you share… You’re videos are actually really calming to listen too… My therapist suggested me watching something calming before bed . So I pop on your videos and write out to do’s in my planner for the next day … I’m totally with you in being scattered story of my daily life … could you maybe do a video on how you stay consistent in your planner. On monthly calendars I like to start the week on Monday, just like my weekly planner. This means you can use last year’s calendar and just change the day of the week at the top instead of all the dates. Cover up the Sunday with a Monday sticker and go from there. Unless there’s a leap year, this plan works pretty well. Also some holidays fall on specific dates while others fall on the same day of the week each year, so either way you’ll need to change some holidays. I hope that helps. :)

When I need a month and I don’t have one that has the correct dates, I just go back in my planner like the old planners that we keep and find one that has the day of the month that starts on the same day and I kept the first is a Thursday I’ll just go through and find whatever month that starts on Thursday. I’ll pull that one and I’ll just cover up the month. The name of the month I can be 22 1819 it doesn’t matter because you’re covering up the year and a month all you need is the dates and for it to be the right start date of the day of the week and that works really well.

Mary Ellen l worked it out. On the 2022 monthly you can change the days of the week to a Monday start. So you only have to change the days on top of the month..l worked it out when l got to June 😂

Make the monthly a Monday start by just covering the days instead of the numbers. It would match the weekly.

When I’ve done frankenplanners like this in the past I setup 6mo on the planner I’m going to use with the discs and cover…but only glue the first month in case I decide to change up the layout in a future month. Then I take the other 6mo and put it all together in order on the other discs/cover so that it’s already together and in order the way I’ll be using it. Once again I don’t glue just in case but then when it’s time to move I literally just have to pull them off and move them into the cover I want to use. Just makes the move process faster and I’m swapping 6mo for 6mo and takes just minutes and I don’t get annoyed 😝

I love the LLP cover, I tried using it on my 2023 catch-all but it’s so thick, it made my planner too big. If I go down to one or two more the at a time I might try it again. 💜

I just printed the re-dating guide from lizzuplans and it’s saving me some of the work. I don’t know how to link it here but I’ll try to find your email to send it to you. ❤️🦋
