I was born and raised in PR and I didn’t even know there were people out there that think the week starts on Sundays until a few years ago 😂 It makes exactly zero sense to me to start on a Sunday. It’s called the weekEND right? So why do people begin their week on a weekEND?? I can’t buy planners that have their weeks starting on a Sunday. I hate having the weekEND split on opposite sides of the page. It bothers me so much, not to mention I mistake Sunday for Monday all the time and it throws off my whole calendar lol.

i agree!! i cant buy them either because i don't understand how sunday can be the first day of the week!! but because of google calendar i have now been trained to think that monthly layouts start sunday :(

Haha, I think it has a religious attachment, since there are many religions that conclude that Saturday is the 7th day and the day of rest. For me, I love the month view to be Sunday start and weeks as Monday start. And, when I think of my weekend, I think of is as bookends, so each weekend day sandwiches the week, lol.

I think alot of people use Sunday as like a pre start to the week. Like getting all their stuff together before the new week begins. I think that's why alot of planner people do their pre planning on Sundays. For me as a kid Sunday was church day so that was like ok the week is about to start I need to get all my homework done get my lunches and clothes ready. As an adult I do the same thing. But it mostly has to do with my job. We are open 7 days a week and that's just how the schedule is. The work week is Sunday to Saturday so I'm just used to it. Sunday is when I get all my paperwork ready and fill up on supplies and do inventory checks and make notes on upcoming events. I don't really think too much on it.

I 100% get that Because I also use Sunday as a sort of pre- start! In my family we would usually do something together on Saturday and Sunday was the day that we were able to kind of relax before the week started again and we had to go back to school. I feel like it might’ve been school planners that got me more used to a Monday start since a lot of them were formatted to have the school day be the first day but I’m not really sure🥲 Do you always tend to use planners that start on Sunday then?

@@nikkilpzs honestly the way my brain works is kind of odd. I know people want their monthly and weekly spreads to start with the same day but it doesn't bother me. I see them as two totally different things. My calendars always start on Sunday and I just make sure they are dated correctly. My weekly spreads always start on Monday just because that is how the company makes them. I'm more of a numbers person. So I focus on the day of the week and the date. My brain is just used to it. I never even realized they were different until people started complaining about it in their planners lol

right!? I’m trying not to buy any just blank journals because I leave them half blank and then when the new year comes I end up not using them, But I’m really excited for the structure that this year is going to give me plus I really enjoyed using all the planners I have so far!!

thank you so much !! so right now im basically using my common planner as my creativity bujo planner (so like for this channel and other things i do for fun like reading and writing,--which now that i think about it, its a bit weird that im planning my fun but oh well--as well as some personal admin that i want to keep in one place like my information about my med school and health) and my cousin will be my everyday journal and archive. it will probably change as the year progresses though.

😂 Same , girl, same. I was just going to use 1 planner for everything and then I realized that might not work. At the moment Ive settled on 4 … Hobo Cousin for anything work related (I dont like to mix it with personal stuff in case I have to show it to others for work reasons), Hobo Cousin Avec for personal planning + daily journaling + memory keeping, Hobo Weeks was for pre planning but I think I might shift that to content planning or as my writing projects journal, and the addition is a bullet journal this will be for pre-planning and a catch all that can be transferred to the others. Still not totally settled but that’s what December and January is for 😅 … Also I may have to pull out my 5 year journal and add that to my pm routine 🤣 ✌🏽+❤

@@nikkilpzs I know! One day I will figure it out, but I think I will always have two at least. Depends on how much time I have but usually I save it for the weekend. Throughout the week I write in a word or phrase to remind me what I want to highlight for that day in the space where my notes or to lists for the day haven’t taken over. It usually goes on the daily pages. And then there are daily pages I end up not using so sometimes I use an entire page to highlight an event, theme, milestone, etc.

Totally understand that the desire to use only 1 planner and the simultaneous desire to use more than one planner can coexist 😂😂 Also, I am in the US and to me the week starts on Monday, but for some reason all our monthly calendars start on Sunday but weekly planners start on Monday. No idea but it's definitely annoying.

i just realized this! google calendar has trained me to think that monthly calendars start sunday!! i feel its probably because of something like daylight savings that had its origins in farming folk!!

I believe they ship internationally!! But I recommend going to the Facebook group of sterling ink and asking other peoples experience ordering if they are from Norway if u want to get an estimate on delivery times and such!

All the places I've lived in the US have started on a Monday 😅 so I'm not sure what's going on there haha

so I actually ended up googling it because I was also confused!! “Technically, Sunday is the first day of the week because it always has been. However, this is based on the concept that the seventh day is a day of rest and the original sabbath in the Judaeo Christian system was Saturday, ie. the end of the week.”
