This would be my top choice for an EV. It’s so well rounded. I can tell you had fun on the track and the drifting on the skid pad was a real treat. Good job
Porsche+EV= match made in heaven. They can make RR drivetrain not only extremely safe so that anyone can drive it but also faster than anything else with even remotely similar power level. So when you tell them to make an EV which is already the perfect vehicle design for weight distribution and handling due to how low the weight is and how evenly distributed it can be then they are gonna make something EXTREMELY special and that’s what they’ve done with the Taycan. That car can handle so ridiculously well for weighing 5000lbs, it’s quite impressive that it puts out similar Nurburgring times as the Model S Plaid which makes over 1000hp and weighs about the same! Just goes to show how good Porsche is at engineering performance machine. Handling is their bread and butter.
Mine is only a 4S, but it's an amazing vehicle. Being able to take corners like it's nothing, followed by the instant acceleration and torque of the electric engine is just awesome. Of course if you're just going down some twisty roads a 911 wins, but the Taycan is insane for normal city driving.
I'm not taking anything away from this truly amazing car, but I can't be the only one who thinks putting "Turbo" in the name of a car that doesn't have one (or especially a gasoline engine to pair it with) is beyond stupid.
@@Ben-jz3mt it should. In most cars it updates properly. And its simple for them to get it right. If a car can be so expensive, i want every part of it to be just right. Otherwise there is no reason to not go with something else. Its a porsche. It should be able to display the speed in real time. It doesnt. I will complain. What are you gonna do about it?
@Ben1014 it's a 200k dollar porsche, it's not a big deal in a prius but if a base v6 charger can display speed in real-time then the top of the line electric Porsche should too
It honestly is very subtle and just very pleasing to listen to. It's not loud, it's unobtrusive, and gives you a sense of building up speed. Also kinda has a straight cut gear race car sound element to it.
When oh when are you going to do a vid on the Macan GTS? That was supposed to go down awhile ago. Just realized today that I wasn’t subbed. I am now. Mine doesn’t get here til mid-May now and I know you’d put a tester through its paces. Any word sir?
I feel that, I’m sure it would be fun to experience the car in this event but that sound is actually annoying to me. Nothing to me beats the sound of an ICE engine and exhaust.
Gotta say, the things that Topher was doing in this video is what would sell me on an EV. This or the Audi are the only EV's I would consider until we see the Charger EV or a direct competitor by Lexus. Everything else in the EV market looks like hot trash to me personally.
