The best part was that they turned the assemble win into an celebration of James Hong!!! I first know him from the original Blade Runner and thought he was old, and that was 40 years ago!!! The dude is a legend!
I love that the whole event is so HAPPY. What the EEAAO cast did for James Hong is so generous and classy, and respectful in a very Chinese way. Michelle Yeoh!!! So thrilled for her finally getting this individual recognition. She so earned it and deserved this!!
Literally me. I really do like the film but I was over it sweeping the picture awards after the PGA win but now I'm good. I just wanted a little chaos thrown into the Oscar's and I got that with the acting categories.
@@samisfun868 Fabelmans and Banshees won the Golden Globes. EEAAO won Critics Choice, SAG and PGA. All Quiet won BAFTA. Spielberg won the Globe. Daniels won Critics Choice and DGA. Berger won BAFTA. Keoghan won BAFTA, even though Quan won everywhere else.
Personally, not the best film of the year. Personally, that was She Said. I understand a lot of people love Everything Everywhere, it just was not for me.
Thank god they switched up the dates of the BAFTAs and the SAGs. Usually the BAFTAs are the last thing voters see before the Oscars, but now with the SAG awards being the last memory before voting on Thurs, this could switch things up!
imagine after everything EEAAO went through, win here and there left and right, then Oscars decided to be basic and pick The Fabelmans as Best Picture.
@@abdulrosyida236 Ok. I do not know if that deserves an ew, but I get it. I did not love The Fabelmans either. I guess if I had a vote, I would not vote for either movie.
Brendan Fraser may have an edge to win the Oscar because he recently won at the Hollywood Critics Association, so I'm still predicting him to win! Sadly, I don't think the SAG win will be enough for Michelle Yeoh to win the Oscar only because Cate Blanchett had been winning everywhere else. I agree, Ke Huy Quan is pretty deadlocked to win!! As for Supporting Actress, that's gonna be a nail biter! I still think it'll go to Angela Bassett, but then again it could go any direction now.
By the way, if you have not watched 1883 yet, you gotta watch that. Sam Elliott totally deserves that screen actor’s guild award for it. Honestly, surprised he was not nominated more awards shows for it. It’s a miniseries that is a prequel to Yellowstone, but you don’t have to watch Yellowstone to watch it. It is perfectly good as to a show all to itself, but really what 1883 is the TV-MA version of the educational video game Oregon Trail brought to life. Also, stars Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw (finally gets a great script that proves this country singer actually a really good actor), Faith Hill (this country singer gives a decent performance; and redeems herself from her only other acting film performance in that horrible remake of The Stepford Wives), LaMonica Garrett, and Isabel May. Also, has cameos from Tom Hanks, Billy Bob Thornton, Rita Wilson, and Graham Greene in it. Highly recommend it. Also the sequel series out now to 1883, 1923, that just finished up its first season, is really good as well. It stars Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Timothy Dalton, James Badge Dale, and Brian Geraghty.
Wait was your dad the one in the audience with the glasses Johnathan Wang. No lie I was screaming my ass off when Jamie Lee Curtis won cuz she never had a Sag win in her entire career. Shout out to Ke Huy Quan he’s the only one I’m for sure gonna get the Oscar.
