In this video I'm so very excited to be introducing you to my December 2023 designer fabric collection for Riley Blake Designs called MERCANTILE and tell you all about the sew along quilt MERCANTILE SAMPLER and all other fun things that coordinate:)
I have a sneak peek and pre-yardage of my HOME TOWN collection to show you ...and let's chat about the "Home Town Sew Along" that will be starting in September of 2023.
I'll also show you my next Bee Basics collection called BEE DOTS...and tell you about the quilts I've designed with Bee Dots:)
I give you an update on CALICO Quilt & Quilt Seeds as well as a sneak peek on my upcoming BEE VINTAGE Sew Along.
I also show and tell about my new notions that go with all of these collections ...and chat about the "WORLD of LORI HOLT" catalog and also a short chat about my CHUNKY THREAD.

Hello Lori, I love the quilt at 23:20, it would make the cutest Oil cloth table-cloth for pic-nics and back yard barbecues. No way I'd put my beautiful quilt like that out there for barbecue sauce, and ketchup to ruine it. The Quilted Witch is adorable I agree with you no scarry stuff, besides it would go on the guest bed.

Oh I love the Mercantile!! Takes me back. I turned 70 in March. My Granny Lovett was a quilter from Mississippi and these frabrics remind me of her old quilts. I Love the Vintage Sayings. I have heard them all my life.

Oh my, oh my, oh my.... my entire quilt budget is dedicated to your next 3 lines!!! lol! I'm starting with the Home Town boxed kit (with the yellow border).... then next is that FABULOUS Quilted Witch!!!! (the cross stitch too).... and the Mercantilel line is stunning! Never would have thought that in May of 2023 I'd be rushing for January 2024 to arrive? lol! But, yes.... fabulous! Thanks so much for creating so many happy and beeautiful pieces for us to get lost in ! Quilting really is better than therapy... lol!

Hey Lori! I’ve done 5 Carpenter’s Star quilts. I LOVE the design and it’s so easy to make. Looking at all your fabrics and patterns makes me feel like I’m standing in the middle of 1920 on a farm. It’s so soothing. I haven’t joined for your newsletter yet because I figured it would end up costing me a fortune, but im gonna join now. I’ll just have to be strong and not go overboard. Ya, right!! I ordered your catalog from Amazon and it came to me in a bag and it was all separated and bent up. I sent it back… Ordered again months later and said it was a gift and it came in a box in perfect condition. Did not know it was meant to be separated. Will get a binder for it now. I keep trying to print the free pdf for Calico Veggie Garden quilt's setting, but I can only get a couple of half-pages. I hope it's just some messed up setting on my printer. It's an adorable setting for the vegetables.

Lori wins again!! I'm not certain why but, I am addicted to your fabrics and designs. I guess because it reminds me sew much of my maternal grandmother who was deaf but, would make clothing without patterns and spent every evening hand piecing hexies while she hummed. I miss her sew much. I'm really glad that you share with us some of the thought process behind your designs.

This is all SEW exciting!!! For the "World of Lori Holt" catalog, as you release new collections, will there be additional pages (sections) that will be available for purchase so we're able to keep our "catalog" up-to-date? I can't wait for the QAL's...SEW fun!!!! I've NEVER done an applique quilt, but I'm signed up with FQS for the Bee Vintage QAL...I'm afraid, but ready for the challenge! I have to accept that it likely won't be perfect (I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my quilt piecing). I just have to accept that I will learn as I go and my new skills will only improve over time. QUESTION...I love how you had your basket of fabrics folded...could you possible show how you FOLD your fabrics so they fit into those plastic baskets? That would be very helpful. Thank you!!!!

My mother in law and her mother made beautiful quilts which I've loved. When they passed it seems I lost my passion for quilting. Their quilts were all vintage. I am not a fan of the modern quilts. But when I discovered the world of Lori Holt it brings their memories back and my love of quilting too. I just want to make everything you've introduced to us! Lori, when you talk about growing up in your hometown and with your family, I have aunts with the some of the same names as my aunts, and my grandma was a quilter as well. She never sewed on an electric sewing machine. She always used a treadle machine. You just make me remember my family times.
