I’ve got a 2008 king quad 750 myself. 7200 miles, still original belt. On 4th set of tires. Only routine maintenance other than replacing cv shafts on all 4 corners and I would still call that routine on a machine this old. Still starts and runs great. Plenty of power , easily does 65 mph if you want to go that fast. Tons of low end power and I love the 4x4 system as well. Even with stock tires, plenty of ground clearance. I have slightly more aggressive tired than stock but stuck with stock size. I’d recommend it for anyone looking to buy one, new or used. They will last a long time.
Don't know what we would do without these videos. Absolutely invaluable.... just wanted to say, cuz this channel helped me make one of the most important decisions with my money. THANK YOU! Never stop!!
I can’t believe that this channel doesn’t have more subscribers, it’s such a damn good channel! And I’m a dirt bike guy but I love these videos. Time to start spreading the good word of this channel some more.
Agreed. I check a lot of sites before I purchase tires and accessories. I am a big fan of the KQ. I have a 2020 white KQ 750 that my Wife claimed as " STORM TROOPER". I had a buddy moving to Alaska and he needed an ATV so I sold him my OD Green 2020 750KQ. Well yesterday I bought a new 2023 Camo SE. I am adding a few things and I am pumped. TOTALLY underrated machine which is fine with me because they currently have a $1000 rebate.
I've been waiting for you guys to release this video for about a month and once again you nailed it. I'm a 2022 king quad owner and couldn't agree more with the review; well done! Appreciate the continued awesome and videos and looking forward to the comparison to the grizzly! Thanks again and enjoy the trails!
Agree with other posts. This channel is awesome…in fact, I end up watching reviews on a lot of machines I don’t give a shit about because I enjoy the way the material is presented. Keep up the great work - and don’t ever change your style, the no frills straight up honesty and thorough commentary is best in class, 💯
Thanks for the kind words! We're trying to make the kind of content we want to watch, machine focused honest opinions that give guys a good idea of what the experience is really like (positive and negative). It's awesome to know it's appreciated!
I’m so glad we have you guys doing these atv reviews. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the comparison review. Both great quads. I agree about the shifter and trans on the Suzuki. Just well done. Thanks again for doing what you do, there’s still a strong group of atv riders out there. Oh yeah sxs’s suck……lol.
You get used to it on the left side quick. Lol. I have a 750. I'm glad I got is vs the Yamaha. I gey way less mid on my back due to just the back fender design.
Great and informative video. I have a 2020 KQ 750 SE and absolutely love it. For the kind of riding I like to do, the suspension works very well. I upgraded the tires to the Maxxis Zilla for better traction and a stronger tire. At 5'7, I prefer the handlebar setup as it is and haven't noticed any downsides to it. As for reliability, other than standard preventative maintenance, I have not had to have anything repaired or replaced.
Just came across your channel fellas. Really enjoyed this review. Thanks for taking the time to provide it. From someone who is considering a KQ, I really appreciated all the feedback and experienced insight!
Thanks! I really enjoy the KQ, glad I bought it. We did a comparison with the Grizzly as well if you're interested in something a little more in-depth..
@@DirtObseXXion Saw it! Considering that one also. It's between the Grizz and KQ. I agree with you, I don't need a big bore twin from Can-Am or Polaris for my needs. Your reviews hit on all fronts for sure!
I just saw the king quad in our dealership few days back and i agree the quality of these quads are extremely good and well building comparing to what you get these days. They are for sure a great and wise choice.
@@DirtObseXXion Looking forward for the shootout. If I may ask one thing I would like to know is engine heat compared to the grizzly often neglected in reviews but it’s really important for those who live in hot weather conditions.
@@Catalysis1144 Great question! We didn't let it get too hot yet, it was in the 50degrees that day so it wasn't noticeable and it was the first ride on the machine so we were doing some heat cycles. We'll be sure to include that in the comparison though.
I have one of these and what I noticed is that the suspension got a lot softer in the initial part of the stroke but retained the good bottoming resistance and control after about 200 km of riding.
Always appreciate your videos. And the KingQuad is one of the few ATV's ive never had the chance to try out. I now have a 2020 Honda Rubicon 520 DCT Deluxe but within the next 12 months I'm going to add another quad to the mix so I'll have 2 total at the point as I'm planning on keeping the Rubicon long term. Most likely going to go with the Grizzly 700 but I'm trying to do some research on how deep you can take these machines stock. I'm not looking to swamp them but on my 2011 Grizz 700 I could go as deep as I wanted to and never had a problem. i've already basically completely submerged my Rubicon and it didn't skip a beat. My 2018 Sportsman 850 SP couldn't go much deeper than over the floorboards without the belt slipping so this is extremely important to me. I've heard they relocated the airbox on the newer Grizzlies (2020-2023) so I'd love to know if it can't still go as deep. Sorry for the long rant lol. Love your content man.
Yep Grizzlies are great, intakes are high just under the headlight pod, under the hood on the drivers right side, so you could probably go as the hood without issue.. That's my guess anyway, we're not fans of submerging our ATVs unless something is unavoidable
We bought two Suzuki King Quad 750's this year. So far love em both. We have now rode enough on them to know them and have our opinions much more so than when we first got them. Can't wait to see your shoot out, as the Grizzly was also very high on our list. Of course now the Grizzly's are fully in stock everywhere by us, when we were looking they were a hard find. Overall we know which quad will win, it will be pretty darn close though. The shootout will be close enough to where either quad would be a great choice, I feel riding style will also play a small part in which quad would work better for someone.
Awesome! I'm going to try to up a scoring scheme that will hopefully remove as much bias as possible and then weight and score all categories.. I have no idea how it will turn out, but I'm with you, I bet it's close!
Geat video I’ve just recently purchased my 2022 king quad 750axi se+ in feb i haven't much time ride it bc work but like it over another and still breaking it in currently
Have the 750 AXI SE+ and it’s fucking awesome. Put a badlands winch, front and rear bumpers and switched the lights to LEDs and it’s PERFECT. Such a beast of an atv
I had a 2019 King Quad 500. It was the best ATV I ever had. Will be getting a new one soon. Probably will be 750. No doubt Suzuki makes the best. I don’t care about aluminum wheels etc. Quality, liability, comfort having fun is important to me
I couldn’t agree more with the idea of KQ’s being under rated. One thing I love about this machine is the clutch engagement. I use it for working around my property and when you have a trailer loaded with stuff it’s easier to keep it on the trailer with the smooth clutch engagement. I had a Brute Force and the power is fun but the clutch engagement and fighting with the shifter can be infinitely frustrating. Another great video.
@@DirtObseXXion is the king quad engagement as smooth as the kodiak 700? The grizzly is setup more aggressive then the kodiak is. If the king quad is as smooth as the kodiak that makes a huge difference for guys that need a work machine
@@thatoneguy2756 It's a little snappier off the bottom than the Grizzly if that gives you an idea, but it's still smooth.. It probably doesn't come on quite as easy as a Kodiak, but that's what low gear is for...
Nice job boys! Always love watching your reviews because I know they're not sponsored by the product you're reviewing, the review is coming from real ATVers who have put a ton of miles on the trails and the review is honest, not bias.
Thanks Q!!! We pay good money to be able to say whatever we want! 🤣🤣🤣 probably not a good long-term business strategy but if guys like you appreciate it, it's all worth it!
Great video and review as usual 🙂 I have to agree with you on the Carlisle tires/ steel wheel set up, it's almost exactly the same as my sons 2017 Sportsman 570. To give an example I have a direct comparison to my wife's 2018 Sportsman 570 SP with the larger 27" tires/ 14" wheel set up vs the 17 with the 12" wheels/ 25" tires just feels lighter- nimbler!
I get the Suzuki/Kawasaki snappy power, which is great compared to a Grizzly overall, and had an 18 Brute. Grizzly is a lot smoother power. But now having a Grizzly, and being able to rip the woods, and very spirited rocky sections, the Grizzly suspension soaks up almost everything and the power is not lacking. Before the Grizzly, I have never been able to ride a day with a quad and not have some back/neck pain at the end of the day. Now that the Suzuki/Kawasaki are priced similarly as the Grizzly, I can't see myself ever not picking the Grizzly.
That's great feedback and we definitely love the Grizzly.. I don't want to give too much away before the shootout but I'm really looking forward to hearing from guys like you who have a lot of experience with both... I will say, when we talked about doing this, we knew who ever pulled the trigger first was getting the Grizzly..
Oh wow didn't realize you all are in my neck of the woods, Georgetown only about hour from me. Doing so much research trying to find best atv without going dead broke. Love this channel.
I don't know how you find time to make these videos while starting at linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys! (Looking straight jacked!) But for real, I'm really excited to see your comparisons. But I was at the dealership for a Grizzly last year, the salesperson told me the King quad would have been $1,000 cheaper out the door. Still went with the Grizzly but these are both great machines for sure. I also had crazy shake from my Kenda bear claws. Several ounces of balancing beads through the valve stem helped it a ton but did not completely eliminate it 100%
Lol! Brian said he had talked to you about the Bearclaws.. Lesson learned there I guess.. We knew whoever pulled the trigger first would get the Grizzly, but I'm definitely not upset about it now.. I knew the KQ would be good but I honest to God like it better than I thought I would
So glad y’all got the KING Quad!!! Y’all should make a video on the king quad 400. We have one that’s been through WindRock x 3 and Iron Mountain x 2, pulled tractors out and other atvs. I can’t get it stuck!! I love it!!! We have had it for going on 3 years and haven’t had ANY problems except the brakes squeaking. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!
what year is yours ? have an 09 KQ400 and it continues to impress me with what it can do and where all it can go it even pulled out my brothers ranger 1000XP crew from a bad muddy ditch in town
Loved the video, and I was in the process of buying that quad from that dealer when you got it! Saw this video, and I’m so glad you guys got it and made a review. I’ve got another on order with them - hoping to pick it up tomorrow. Silly question - Where are you riding? I’m looking for a couple places in the LOU/Lex area.
Sweet, they had a couple of them when we were there but they must have gone quick.. We're riding at Canmer KY.. If you're closer to Lexington then definitely check out White Sulfur OHV trails or Red Bird Crest.. Both 50inch restricted so no SXSs destroying the trails.. There's a bunch of others too Hollerwood, Rush, Wildcat, Blue Holler but we don't bother going to them..
Great video as always! I bought a 750 eps from mls a couple of years ago and love it! Only wish I could ride it more! I watched a ton of your videos when researching what I was going to buy. Any recommendations for places to ride around Bowling Green?
Nice! We go Canmer a lot, that's where we do most of our filming.. There's a bunch of places near Big South Fork in TN which is pretty close to you too.. We also like Turkey Bay, White Sulfur, and Red Bird Crest.. Red Bird Crest is probably fairly close to you
Great video I’ve just recently purchased my 2022 king quad 750axi camo se+ but sadly mine quad didn’t come with those pretty black Suzuki wheels anyhow wasn’t a big deal for me anyhow I’ve purchased my king quad on Oct 12 still breaking it in currently everything about the king quad is good but the only few cons I’ve notices needed to get updated were the headlights bulbs to leds or update the headlight housing and third headlight to projector housing like the Polaris 850 ultimate trail editions and Xp 1000 hunter’s editions and lastly upper the CC, gets dual pistons like it’s counterpart and lastly I like to service my own rear brakes other than that the king quad as currently is still an overall an all around good atv to get.
The kingquad is a beast! All the new updates make it truely indestructible and the new clutching gives it snap! Highest quality and most durable machine on the market! My old 2013 500 kq was great! 4K miles and only one broken axle and a water pump seal (both after 3k miles). It’s been jumped, in the mud, wheelies and rolled hard with still great quality! It’s the performance and reliability that is for me! And your damn right the quadratic cvt is great! Filled my clutched with mud and they still hook and pulled with the water in the clutch box. Diffs are also great (looking at you can am). Had a long ride with mud in the diff and still rides great with little wear. The tires also are pretty good. I wore mine down to the carcass then went to bear claws. Over all I love the kq! Suzuki has done some great stuff! Would love a twin though. Great review and nailed all the points! Team Suzuki! Hoping for the ltr or quadzilla back, even if it’s a stretch.
Thanks! We're huge fans of the LTR.. Best 450 sport quad ever built in my opinion. But I'd really love to see the Z400 come back.. We've got one we need to test and it's phenomenal. Puts the 400X to shame
I have a 2015 king quad 750. 2200 miles. Replaced the starter, battery, steering head light, and broken wire on the steering column. Also, I put new tires on, as well. Oh, and the seat cracked, so I duct taped it. No other problems. Not the most handsome machine, but pretty reliable. I live in the mountains of western Colorado.
3000 miles on my 2013 kq 750 never had a wrench on it. Just changed the original plug. Just bought a leftover 750 special edition. Love these kqs. I'm cheap.
I love the Suzuki King Quad! I had a 2008 model and never had issues with it. One thing I wish they would replace is the rear brakes. I don't care for the wet wet disk brakes since the are mechanically cable controlled. They say they are maintenance free but you do have to adjust them tighter every now and then. I would much rather have hydraulic rear disks like the Grizzly has and just replace the pads when needed.
Great video! Thank you! Let's face it your gunna pick the grizz in the shootout we all know lol I would love one but I'm not spending 13k out the door on a new one and unfortunately they don't depreciate much, the kingquad though...depreciates very quickly and I'm finding them with very low mileage (200 or less) for around $8k. That's ultimately making my decision for me, your video also made me feel better about the suspension, that was my biggest worry, I ride everything like I stole it so it would be nice to have the extra suspension travel in rocky terrain but I hope the new kq can manage. I had a 2017 and it did well (minus broken engine mount), again thanks for the video stay safe out there, I'll be on the lookout for grizz vs kq! Be nice to the kq trail riders! Lol
Thanks! I think it will be pretty close, we have no stock in which one wins because we've already bought both of them.. We're also going to try to keep it as unbiased as possible with enough wiggle room to allow everyone to hopefully make a better informed decision on their own.. That's really our number one priority.. Giving a thorough unbiased comparison that helps guys like us make a decision... I will say I like the KQ even more than I was expecting..
I love my 2017 King. While I will agree with what you said about the tires the only problem with them is that they are only 2 ply. If they were 4 or 6 I would have kept them on mine. Thanks for the review.
Excellent job as per usual guys. I have a good friend that had a 2016 King Quad 750 and he put 10,000 hard km on it. He only ever had a loose wire issue with it that was easily fixed. I was super impressed with its reliability. Too bad they haven't put an 850 or larger engine in it just to compete with the Can Am and Polaris models at that end of the market.
Thank you! If Yamaha and Suzuki offered twins, I'd still go with a big single... I might be getting old or something but I just really like the balance and ergonomics of a big single
@@DirtObseXXionI also really like the big singles. A big single has the power and torque where you need it on a trail atv.The single also has to run less revs to have torque and is therefore better in technical situations.Singles also weigh much less which makes the ATV much more manoeuvrable.
@@stafwielockx7718 That's a good point about single cylinders. Personally I do a lot a trail riding and not much technical stuff. I also like to rev them high and ride fast when I can and I like the twin cylinders for that stuff.
From years of riding ATV ever brand I've had can am I've had grizzly and I bought a Suzuki king quad 750 and to be honest this king quad 750 is nasty very impressive
Another stellar video bud.The King quad is a solid choice as is the Grizzly.Would you ever consider doing a non eps test say the new Renegade 650 and maybe a non eps Kingquad
Thanks! I'd love to do a test like that but honestly I wouldn't want to buy a big 4x4 without EPS, so we'd have to find some guys willing to volunteer their machines..
Great video as usual fellas. Looking forward to the shootout. What rims did you go with on the griz? Sorry if I missed it. I ditched the XTR stockers entirely and dropped down to a 12” rim and 26” obor same width on all 4 corners and couldn’t be happier. Last weekend I did my favorite mod to it yet and it will help Brian fix the flimsy pod headlight bezel LOL! Rox risers and some CR high bend bars…. My god it makes it a whole new machine. Adds leverage to the bars just further amplifying how good the eps is on that machine (if that makes sense?). I digress, this is supposed to be a KQ video 🤣
Polaris sportsman has got nice size, suspension and large seat. One thing that manufacturers don't consider is access to the radiator to clean out the mud... Clogged radiator and overheating is one of the most common problems on the trail.
So glad you guys did this test on the King. These are great machines, and are underated simply because everyone wants a big bore twin these days. A lil clutching tweaks and they really get spunky for the average weekend rider, and are probably the best built big bore machine. I wonder how hard it would be to fit a different set of handle bars on there, might be a pain with that stock pod on the bars.
Thanks Rob! I agree about the twins, we played that game for a while... It gave us a better appreciation for the big singles. Honestly, even though I'm not a huge fan of the bars, it doesn't bother me so much that I'd feel the need to change them... But if you were too, I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard. As long as the bar bend fit the pod and was 7/8 diameter, it would just be a matter of swapping the controls. Finding the right bar bend that cleared the pod and felt good would be the hardest part. All I'm planning on doing is adding a bumper to protect the front end and roll with it for awhile.
@@DirtObseXXion Sounds great man, I'm thinking of getting a King as well. I currently have two twin cylinders and I've grown tired of hanging a rotopax fuel carrier off every rack so I can make it back to the trailhead. My 800 Sportsman is an absolute fuel pig, and my Brute isn't much better.
@@rzl07375 I can definitely recommend the KQ! The best part is that heat doesn't seem to be an issue at all.. I can't speak to the gas mileage yet, but I guarantee a single will sip gas compared to a twin.. Hopefully we'll be able to get a good long ride in before the comparison to get an idea of mileage.. I think that's an important add for the comparison..
Great review the one thing are preferences differ is when climbing up over rock the rear felt more stiffer witch felt more stable then the Grizzly which i like better , The KQ is a little quieter runs cooler and shifts smoother than the Grizzly .
Yeah that's a good point.. We were trying to describe it without it coming across as a negative because you're 100% correct, it's personal preference..
I love the Suzuki King Quad. I have a 2008. 750. The ride to me is great. I had a sportsman 500ho before this. Yes it was more plush but didn’t handle as good.
I think the ride is great too, I prefer the stiffer set as I mentioned in the vid... Just trying to review it accurately to the experience.. I'd pick a KingQuad every time over any Sportsman..
Really good presentation. KQ is a good machine. I think it could definitely use a twin under the seat, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to ever convince a KingQuad owner that its anything less than perfect 😆. Looking forward to the shootout 👊💥🎉
Been saying for yrs its a great machine... Even told you that a fews yrs back when you did the big 4 shootout. I just went back to a KQ after owning a 22 outlander 1000xt.. My first big bore was a 2004 griz 660.. the the grizz 700.. the the BF...switched to the KQ in 2012 .. Wanted to try the hype of can am...while it was awesome I just preferred the KQ.. SO I bought new camo 750 and will never go any other way..
@@DirtObseXXion Good to hear! I have done several reviews on my channel as well but dont draw the large crowd like you do.. So hopefully you'll get the message out lol.. Couple things I like... the HUGE seat... Suzuki also makes winch installs super easy...they have the wire loom already routed through the chassis .. just have to feed it through.. REAL locking diff I personally think their cvt is the smoothest on the market.. Gotta get the camo...doesn't scratch.. I have had about 6 grizzlies and about 10 of the KQ... By far my favorite quad... Cant wait to see/hear your comparison
Everything you've stated is absolutely true. I lived my 2018 KQ 750. Well, until I put 26" radials on it. Then it was a brutal ride and the big horn tread style made it waaaay too grippy and oversteer became an issue. Those 489's aren't fantastic, maybe 2000km (1200m) and are pricey when replacing. So anyone looking at a tire upgrade, go 26" bias with a similar 489 pattern. Do not get big horns style tread.
Thanks! That's great advice too, I like light weight directional tread patters.. There's a lot of gimmicky tires out there with cool looking but poor performing tread patterns..
So glad you guys are doing test like this excellent job what's flying Brian really think of it I ride alot like him right to the pin all the time just asking $ Anyway like I said so happy you guys are comparing two quads like this soon 😀 iam 54 years old and back in the day all we had was honda Suzuki Yamaha and kawasaki to choose from WOW eh to be honest I still say the Japanese build the best quads just wish they had a lot more JAM 😀 PS you guys really are the best in the business Thanks from just outside Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 😀 eh.
Thanks brother!!! We're posting the comparison with the Grizzly by Saturday so I don't want to spoil it now, but FB gave a lot of on-camera thoughts on it and we both worked on the narrative.
I did some research, check with Dalton Clutches on their upgrade offerings, and it would seem that in 2019 the KQ got spring and weight upgrades to the point where Dalton doesn't offer clutch kits for them, nor the Grizzly. My 2007 has their High Altitude kits and it's great. I'm excited to ride both a Grizzly and a newer KQ and see the comparison. Even though Griz wins it with that warranty.
The KQ clutching is pretty good, definitely snappier than the Grizzly which makes it feel faster especially when the Grizzly has the Zillas on it.. I like the wet clutches for their reliability but they definitely give up some of the pop that a CanAm would have
Great review. In a standing position, it feels like I'm on the rung of a ladder on a King Quad because they have such deep wells on the floorboards. Grizzly is much more comfortable because the floorboards are shallower. Just me.
That's an interesting point.. It feels more natural for me because we ride sport quads and adventure bikes all the time.. I like them raised because my feet don't slip and I feel like I can shift my body weight more easily.. I could see how it would feel weird if you're not coming from quads or bikes tho.. I appreciate that input, I'll have to mention that in the comparison..
Look out ! You said basically the same things I did in my last video. I’m still learning my new to me camera and what setups are better in my X3 SxS and what’s better on the KQ 750. I had to cut a lot out cause I didn’t realize the SD card would fill so fast in 4K lol. I wasn’t able to film the rough rocky steep stuff i went through. The last 4 mins of what clips I was able to use from Moccasin Gap mountain trails I discussed what I thought and It was rough terrain . Standing your arms will get tired cause of the slope on the bars for sure . Still needs about 25% more PS assist and spacers , or at least offset rims for a little more stability and maybe some Elka shocks . Again though i was riding pretty aggressive off film in some rough Rocky Mountain trails. After owning both , overall ride ergonomics and handling I give to the grizzly very narrowly . CVTS Are basically a draw . Power narrowly to the KQ, with low end clutch response better on the grizzly. Fit and finish and overall quality goes to the KQ 750.
So far agree 100%.. I may need to get up with you on some notes to make sure we cover everything.. Ive 4 pages of script put together just on the walk around comparison.. I wish you lived closer to Kentucky, it would be nice to have some help on the shootout!
@@jrs1064 Elka will customize the shocks to your riding style and preference. When you order them they ask for bodyweight and riding style. If you want softer suspension you can just tell them that.. But it would cheaper to have the OEM shocks re-sprung at lower spring rate..
@@DirtObseXXion I enjoy the bias towards ATV's and Sport ATV's along with real objective comparison. After 6 sxs, I've been going back to ATV's because I just have more fun, and they are cheaper overall.
I have a 22 king quad with about 500km on it and my only complaint would be the power steering seams a bit stiff. But I use it for trail riding and snow plowing and it’s been fine. Very similar to the grizzly in my opinion.
Interesting to hear you like the power steering; that is my biggest hesitation about getting a king quad because I’ve read comments saying the EPS isn’t very good and coincidentally just watched an owner review yesterday of a ‘22 KQ compared to his son’s can am 650 say that the EPS on the king quad was terrible and was his biggest complaint , namely lack of assist . He said you almost can’t feel that it has power steering compared to previous non power steering quads he owned and was way inferior to the can am . I’m very much looking forward your grizz vs KQ vid .
Power steering feel is definitely going to be personal preference.. I feel much more assistance on a KingQuad than a CanAm but I've only been on 1000cc CanAms. Some machines have far too much assistance like Polaris which is why they added the multi-select.. I'd say the Suzuki powersteering is very similar to the EPS on a Honda Rubicon. It is less assistance than certain others, but to say you don't feel it is way off the mark... It's firm at first and gets easier the further into the steer you get. I like it because the machine tracks very predictably.. EPS makes some other machines feel twitchy..
Coming from an Outlander and sport quads with Precision Stabilizers I LOVE the feel of the KQ’s steering. It’s firm enough at all speeds that when you do hit that stray tree root or rock that you never realize it in the bars but easy enough that you never get arm pump
Always been a Suzuki atv guy. Simply the best. Bought Vinson 500 in 2004. Just can’t kill it. Had a new KQ 500 once. Solid. Have moved on to sxs. But one day the kids will ride an may just buy 4 Suzuki me a KQ 750 an couple quadmaster 50 for the boys. Hmm Christmas is close 🤔
@@DirtObseXXionI do wish the new king quads has some better storage. That’s the only gripe I have. Been comparing the king quad 750 to the sportsman trail an new outlander 700’s. I like them all. Polaris looks awesome but I worry over it durability and reliability. The hd7 can am is solid I have it in my defender max. Wanting to go back quads just don’t know which one of the three. Heck even thought about a 6x6 an still retain a bed. I don’t know man
It's a great trail quad. I think the suspension is geared for work so less diving when pulling a trailer or work attachments. The stock tires worked great in the snow IMO, and the 2 ply rating softened the trail bumps. I went to kenda bear claw HTRs and its definitly rougher for it, running 4 PSI in the tires helped a bit, but I usually ride alone so I needed a tire that would take more abuse/surprises better. The conns would be no front bumper, hard to yank the machine over when you get stuck as the fronts all plastic, but that can be fixed to a after market bumper. And you nailed it with the storage, it's definitly miseleading with how it looks on the outside.
@@DirtObseXXion I bought a 2022, heres what I think every owner should check over--- Ensure bolts are all tight, I found the lower a arms to spindle nut took another quarter turn, check wheel nut torque after every ride until it stops tighetning up. The LHS inner fender well liner flaps in the wind, you can drill out the rivets of the safety placard and use 3/8 push pins to secure it. The outter sleeve of the air filter is supposed to be oiled, mine wasn't from factory but I ended up putting a unit filter in anyway. Also note that when reading engine oil level its done with the dipstick touching the threads, not threaded all the way in like you would think, Also suzuki wants you to tighetn the engine oil filter WAY TOO TIGHT, I do it by hand with a rubber glove on for better grip. When you do your oil change and try to do it to suzuki's procedure you will know exzactly what I'm talking about.
@@Markmeblablabla Agree on the oil filter seems crazy how tight they want it. Also the recommended amount of oil for oil and filter change doesn't seem to make it to the full level on the dipstick. What are the advantages to the Uni filter?
@@faster7359 Rumored that the stock one will dust out the engine, I think the stock one just needs air filter oil put on the base and some on the wing nut threw rod to prevent dirt getting by. Uni is reuseable and has two layers to make washing easier.
I had 2019 Suzuki king quad 750 se in the bronze. The engine was very powerful for a single cylinder. I didn’t keep the machine very long. Maybe I didn’t give it a fair shake. My dislikes were the factory tires, engine noise and heat, and the power steering. Those Carlisle tires stretch and feel very unstable at speed. And after paying more to get the SE, the power steering felt like it wasn’t there. I traded it for a Grizzly. The power steering on the grizzly has way more input. Even turning on concrete with one hand it works way better. But I will say that Suzuki felt more powerful and would go 69 mph before hitting the limiter.
been seling these for 12 years now and i just love the kingquad , wish they made a 1000 imo the kingquad is the best out there only second to the grizzly 700
I agree! Although that separation is marginal when you consider the KQs price.. Both great wheelers.. We recently did a full comparison review between them
@@DirtObseXXion Yeah i saw , very informative video's ! great job an offering value opinions and well build commentary . have u noticed that the 1000 models from can am are much smoother then their 850 line up also the difference in acceleration and top end power are very close . i would say the overtuned 850's are less value because of this
Probably the best built big bore on the market today. The stock air filters need junked on the king quads though the paper element breaks down over time and can cause problems .Also wish they would raise the cvt exhaust a lil higher if you go over racks deep ya might get water in the belt .Both are cheap easy problems to fix .As for the grizzlys we have a few new ones in are group they really need to use better plastic on there footboards .my 140 pound buddy put his foot right threw his .And the other guy in are group with one is all cracked to hell. There is no steel underneath them at all for supports. They also seem to stall a lot when in water heard there is some type of air box issue in the new ones .Just my experience with both .id 100 percent pick the King from my experience watching both in action over the years there owners seem more satisfied. After am done with my mud pro I will have one in the garage myself. Thanks for the reviews
No problem keep up the content.I can relate on those tires on the king quad my buddy’s 19 500 goes almost everywhere my mud pro will go Def was dumbfounded by them haha
@@DirtObseXXion Agree on the tires too. I was going through snow over a foot deep with those tires with no problems. Seem to do well in mud also, even though I don't do a lot of mud.
I have just over 2500 issue free miles on my 2022 KQ750! I really appreciate the way it handles anything I throw at it with ease! The refinement and riding comfort is just amazing on ALL types of terrain. Sit on it, fire up the big single, shift into high, push the throttle lever and you WON'T want to stop riding! Yes, the KQ750 is VERY underrated!!!
Well we don't have to keep buying machines every few years. Lol. I've had mine since 2019 and I'm glad I got it. I will ride it until the wheels fall off. I record all the trails I hit and upload em
Dirt Obsession is my favorite channel by far. I wish there was some way to email them but have no idea if they would be capable of answering because of volume. My question is does Can Am really have a bad over heating problem? Even the 450 outlander single cylinder was having that issue in one video. I need my next atv to be reliable but not convinced Honda is the answer with its automatic.
Dude, you can totally email me dirtobsexxion@gmail.com but I think I'm pretty damn good about answering all comments.. I try anyway.. Yes, CanAms run hot, but it's worse on the bigger twins than the smaller displacement machines... Most machines on the market run a little hot tho, fuel programmers help a lot..
I have a 2016 Grizzly 700 (non eps) and new 2022 King Quad 750 eps. I like the Grizzly better in every way. Better 0-30mph power, better suspension, more comfortable seat and ergonomics, and it turns easier even though it doesn't have eps. However, the suzuki maintenance is easier to do and access and it has a 3mph higher top speed. Both machines have great fit/finish
I had a 16 Grizzly too, it was one of first ones that came out so it had valve/oil burning issues, a bad starter spring, and faulty 4x4 servo.. But it handled phenomenally and had perfect power... The Grizzly XTR with the Zillas loses some of that handling because of the tires but it's still a great machine.. We're happy with both..
Being a recent review would be nice to see an older model kq 700 or 750 to A more recent 2019 ish machine for comparisons. You did mention some nice things revised as productions. I'm in the market and seeking a quality Used 2nd hand kq I know that for a fact. I did go gander at a 2019 se 750 kq last wk. Had 135 mils , asking 83 as again mentioned inflation has struck across the board. Thks
That's not a bad deal. I'd see if you could get that price down to 7500 because you won't find an older one with that few miles. The upgrades from 2019 make it worth looking for that year or newer unless you find a phenomenal deal on an older one. Biggest complaint on older models is poor power steering and bump steer (rocks and roots throw it off track). But they're known to be pretty reliable.
No I wouldn't say it's bad, it's just not as good as the Grizzly.. The Grizzly powersteering is by far the best on the market in my opinion.. The KQ is very good, better than the Brute Force or the Outlanders but it just wasn't on par with the Grizzly.. I own the KQ tho, and I'm very happy with it..
I concur. It does irk me a little that you don’t like the bars or storage. Most people are going to add storage but how much extra stuff do you need to go for a ride anyway? The bars are also adjustable. The one thing that always comes up is power. There are few times on a trail when power will make much of a difference. If drag racing is your thing, more power to you. Lastly, the tires do suck. No sidewall strength and the tread goes away fast. 27” m2 Evil radials makes it a different machine.
Sure, like I said bars will be personal preference and the storage isn't a huge issue at all but it's not as good as a lot of other ATVs albeit better than some. Tread will always wear fast with bias ply tires but I don't personally like the loss of handling and extra weight from radials. These are all just personal opinions and preferences though.. There are no wrong answers when it comes down to what you like. Overall it's a great ATV, that's what's important..
The king quad is $2600 less then a grizzly se up here in Ontario. I’d take that extra cash and upgrade the tires and suspension, maybe a set of pro taper bars also.
I wouldn't even bother upgrading the suspension. We had to point it out because it's part of the experience, but I wouldn't call it bad, just not as plush as some. I prefer a slightly stiffer suspension. You're 100% right tho, save some money and spend it doing the mods you personally like!
I have to say, I got a set of Bear Claw HTR’s for my Sportsman 850 after reading so many good reviews on them. And I am not totally satisfied with them. The shaking is very noticeable, and mine seem to lose air if they set awhile.
@@DirtObseXXion Yeah the 850 has more than enough power to spin them, but the vibrations are not worth it. I’d like to try some MudLite XTR’s next time.
