Over time, it has grown from a three-door, fun lifestyle vehicle, to a larger, more family-oriented 5-door, V6 powered recreational stalwart and then back to an environmentally considerate and practically sized ‘everyday’ SUV with four-wheel-drive ability and contemporary styling.

Is it really better than the 2022 non-hybrid? Does it use a lot less petrol? The 2022 4wd is $33,000 while the 2023 4wd is $45,000, is it worth it?

Bit late to the party but I just looked into this as I had a choice between a new hybrid or a low mileage 2022 turbo. It works out to about 0.5l/100km saved if you go hybrid, give or take depending on the type of driving you do. In my case I decided to save roughly 15k NZD and get the lightly used option. I typically only drive 5-6000kms a year so it would take quite a long time before I could break even on the hybrid investment. If you do a lot of KMs per year it might be more worthwhile for you, depending on how long you intend to keep it for.
