Funny you mention BMW and test drives. BMW dealers used to be a lot more interested in giving qualiified drivers as much time as they needed. That's not the case anymore. I'm not sure how anyone, including myselft, can make an $80+ decision during a 5-10 minute road test. The driver is always going to miss something that he or she didn't realize was or was not available. Everyone wants to sell units, but BMW seems to be trying to sell BMW as if they were Honda Civics. I took an "S" for an overnight. That's all I needed!. Tesla's driver assist beats BMW's with a stick. I believe the regen characteristics are configurble from full golf cart to conventional car. Screen response is a heck of a lot faster than my 440's screen, then again, it's a BMW
The S/X needs a Powered Frunk and rear seat armrest like the S. Maybe the refreshed one will get them. I just configured a 2024 LR X today and after the US $7500 tax credit the car was less than $73K. That's insane.
I test drove an X today with a yoke. After 30 mins or so, I kinda got used to it. It’s nice to have full view of the display. But if I end up ordering, it’ll be a wheel, as the yoke would put the X over the eligible federal tax rebate amount.
Just talk to your advisor and let know you want it overnight to understand more about the car. Its fairly easy and nobody really had issue with them saying no.
