Even though it's the 2023 model year, Toyota has kept their old touchscreen infotainment system in the Camry. This is good if you're trading up to a '23, and want something familiar, but may be disappointing to someone looking for new tech.

@@naveenthemachine easily remedied maybe (if it works as flawlessly as the OEM integrated setup that automatically connects with no input needed from you as soon as you step in the car) but that’s not the point. Most other auto makers are offering that on most of they their trim levels. Why not on any Toyota trim level ? Honestly I’m looking for a new car right now and the outdated interior and infotainment is what’s keeping me away from Toyota and pushing me towards another Kia. Even though I know the Camry will probably be more reliable in the long run . Although I hear that Toyota is doing a refresh for 2024. Might be better to wait if you’re in the market for a Camry.

get Ottocast U2-X Pro best Wireless Car Play and Android Auto solution for 2023 Camry. Had mine for 2 months and zero issues other than boot up time 20 to 30 seconds, you may notice a hesitation while playing music because it is just like having a computer Server, got latency, as the Ottocast unit is the middle guy. I leave Ottocast plugged in all the time tucked under the wireless charging tray and set my phone on the wireless charger.

@@naveenthemachinei miss sd card slots and navigation card slots. The 2007 prado has an sd card slot for audio files or dash cam video and a separate navigation sd card that you can download whatever map you want on.

I have the 23 camry xse v6 no hybrid. That is the only thing that blows me with android auto it be glitchy sometimes im like omg i just bought this car lol 😂. Is it possible to change the navigation voice from female to male?

From what I have heard, Toyota will find the cheapest head unit they can that has Wireless Car Play and Android Auto. Many other services will require a paid Subscription after your 1 year Trial. Do not expect a Full Hi-Def or 2k cam for your Back up Camera. I'm sure the Instrument Cluster will be Fully Digital which means the buttons on the steering wheel will alter some. The dashboard gets a more subtle appearance rather than the current wrap or the wedge look. The front end will receive a much larger black nose aka more Plastic. With Toyota and Honda short comings and having a higher failure rate, look into getting a Mazda or Audi.

2024 you will lose much in the Camry as the main things improved are Wireless Car Play and Android Auto plus Google Assist with new Infortainment Head probably 10 to 12 inch monitor. Just Tech stuff and updated to Safety Sense 3.0 from 2.5 plus, otherwise forget it. Without the 3.5L V6 the Camry is Doomed. Honda Accord as of this year 2023 is Doomed. Best to go with a Mazda or Audi. My preference is never to buy a car that does not have a V6 or V8 engine. EV's are too expensive, lack charging stations, place strain on power grid, you are sitting on potentially explosive and fire Batteries, then when Battery dies it cost 5K USD or or more to replace, the Batteries become Toxic Waste and have to be disposed of at a Hazardous Material Land Fill.

Get Ottocast U2-X Pro , works great for Wireless Car Play and Android Auto. Tuck the Ottocast under the Wireless Charging Tray in the drawer and set your phone on the wireless charging tray. Had mine for 2 months for my 2023 Camry XSE V6.

I’m in the minority here but I honestly much prefer this infotainment system to the new Toyota interface. The new interface lacks a Home Screen, physical buttons and knobs, no shortcut buttons, and no built in navigation. The new interface is a step backwards imo. The bones of the old system are actually excellent. It’s just the colors that people are whining about The lack of wireless CarPlay can be fixed with a $200 dongle

@BlackBruceLeeTheGreatDekuTree I don't hate it. I have a android auto box connected so it does what I need it to do. My wife has the bigger screen in her XSE and it works the same. Just a bit bigger.

No wireless connection or phone charging and dated infotainment screen in 2023 are a major blow for this otherwise nice car. I really don't want to buy a brand new car and then have to deal with a cable.
