This 2023 Corolla SE Hatchback is a nice small vehicle for a first-time buyer, college student, or just to running around for shopping. Great gas mileage. A few nice options including a spare tire, navigation that can be used with your phone, etc. The price for under $25,000 is a bargain in today's marketplace. Give it a good look before you pass it up.
I own this exact model (down to the ice cap paint and all-weather mats). Only difference in mine is the full-black interior - FANTASTIC value…I’m averaging 39 mpg across *all* driving conditions. The car is versatile, responsive, and a great handler. Absolutely love it. Two points re: your video: 1) Fog lamps are reserved for the upscale XSE model 2) I absolutely love the rear wiper - use it regularly! 😁
I just bought one. Agree it is hard to find them on the lot. Getting used to the smaller size from my 2012 Mazda 5 which had way more cargo room and the extra seats. I wish they still made the Mazda 5/similar. You have to go smaller or full on larger minivan. The corolla is fun to drive and even this base model is 100 times different than a 12 yr old base car ;). I also love/use the rear window wiper. I like the ease of parking this smaller vehicle.
Looking into buying a new car. This hatchback, actually the XSE is the one i would get. But the rear passengers seat appears to be so dangerously close to the rear windshield.
Thanx so much for the film/ review. Love hatchbacks& wud 💘 to have one , as Toyota. Have to agree though; they're too low to the ground, appealing more to young buyers& those people of shorter stature. Also, seems a bit pricey; although someone said dealerships in the NE.tend to b that way. But, shouldn't msrp. Be the same anywhere in USA.?? If we go with Corolla in next few months; we'll either buy new only after prosperous negotiating& probly no add ons, xtras. A buyer, whether a car, yacht or new home only has to please themselves - even in these difficult buying/ selling times. And, there's always option #2- finding a great deal on a. lightly used, recent yr. model. My brother got a new '19 Le.& it's ' the bomb' as far as the smaller 4 bangers, as you say , go. Thanx again, your very good videos , TN. Mike.
I bought one after an extended car search. These are on the cheaper end of what is out there. Not sure who can afford a 40-50K average car cost. My understanding is Toyota puts the ad ons and you have to try and find one to match what you want. Dealers get an idea beginning of the month what is alloted to them and people often put deposits down before they even arrive. So, there's 'in transit' meaning being shipped and 'in production'. Can be weeks out before arrival. 3.99% financing for the 2023 til early October for 48 months and increased rates as you extend the months/loan period. That is very competitive. 2024 has a $750 cash back financing incentive. Some dealers ad on a 'market adjustment' of 1K-2K. I found dealers eager to make a deal so if you say X dealership doesn't do the markup they suddenly could match it. Some do dealer mark up and 2% commission. It is crazy. The advertised certified used were higher priced than new in my area and if it's not a 2023 for the financing, the used rate for 2021 or 2022 is going be a factor for total cost. Not sure re hatchback but for regular car corolla, they went 2L enging vice 1.8 in 2023. Totally different class but the 2023 silver Camry caught my eye in the dealership and the LE wasnt' much more than the hatchback.
