Why should we assume Toyota turbo 4s are instantly reliable? You’re hauling a heavy vehicle and when you do that it’ll only wear the motor out faster. Same goes with the Explorer unless you opt for the hybrid or turbo v6 As for the jeep I’d tbh trust the v6 and 8 speed more since the v6 is relatively simple and the 8 speed is made by ZF the same transmission bmw rolls Royce Audi all use. Not to mention the interior is significantly better in the jeep as is interior space, luxury, tech, materials, etc. that very top end grand Cherokee (yes very expensive) can go toe to toe with the gv80 and even put the Lexus RX to shame
so you’re not keeping up with the news? every grand Cherokee after the WJ are known to be an absolute pile of rotting dogshit that have constant electric issues and constantly sitting at the shops. if those are your thing, then just chose those rubbish cars for yourself
@zhila5958 that's funny, I've had 2 WK Cherokees both with a Hemi. The latest one has 204k on it with normal maintenance other than needing one air spring replaced and some collision repair from 2 deer hits. I would buy another without fear. Edit. I meant WK2, not WK. Fourth gen.
Had both 2021 Highlander And now a 2023 Jeep grand Cherokee. Highlander yeah more reliable but it’s boring. It’s funny how they present de platinum Highlander and present the entry level Jeep grand Cherokee 😂 of course a Toyota advertisement
Another thing they did was mention the TRD Pro specifically in the part about offroading in the Tundra vs. Ram 1500 video but make no mention of the Ram 1500 Rebel
Of course the Highlander comes out on top! It’s a Toyota!!! Reliability is something that people don’t consider, and the grand Cherokee l is like the worst reliable car I know. My friend has a 2005 highlander and a 2018 highlander limited platinum. 2005 one still runs like a dream even with 348,000 miles on it!!
Why is the V6 gone?! It’s so much better than that dumb new 4 cylinder turbo, and we don’t even know how reliable it will be in a couple of years, bring back the V6, it’s so much smoother and gas mileage is the same if not better that that 4 cylinder turbo, no replacement for displacement
Earlier 8-speed transmissions had potential assembly defects. For which Toyota issued a Recall and extended the warranty on them to 10 years with unlimited mileage. These transmissions were installed in most 2017 & 2018 highlander and sienna models.
@@rockybass9764 Everyone my parents know who have Jeeps have no complaints about them and only ever buy Jeeps after the first ones they try. My mom has one and it has no issues and I plan on getting a Gladiator when I can
@@bigjalapeno7061 I do warranty work as a tier 1 supplier to several OEM’s. Stellantis / Jeep is the worst. Again, feel free to post data, not an opinion to prove me wrong. Your input is respected.
Id stay the highlander is smaller but it's better quality. The highlander needs a little more Hp and space so cant wait to see the grand highlander. Side note Hybrids are one of the worst ideas and worst designs of any car models. If your going electric just buy a tesla it drives it self.
I like Toyota cars, I own Toyota Camry 2018 , but one thing Toyota need to work on is the exhaust pipe , their shape are terrible other than that none could compare to Toyota reliability.
