The 2023 Toyota HiLux pickup in a new body will be introduced in 2023 almost simultaneously with its counterparts - the Toyota Tacoma pickup and the Toyota Fortuner SUV - all on the mentioned TNGA-F platform. Interestingly, rumors from Thailand tipped under the hood of the Toyota HiLux 2023 a hybrid power plant based on a 2.8-liter diesel engine. The current version of this engine produces 204 hp. and 500 Nm. In the new generation, it will be paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, which will provide reduced fuel consumption and more dynamic acceleration.
