If Toyota were to bring this land cruiser pickup to the states, the Tacoma will be sadly forgotten and this will skyrocket in sales. It is simple, rugged and downright reliable to back it all up.
It's a shame this would never pass the safety regulations necessary to be road legal in the USA. This is the perfect pickup truck. Small, reliable, durable, and affordable. It's everything I want out of a pickup truck. I'd sell my kidney for this thing.
Toyota has got to make this exact same thing for the United States, with a manual transmission and the compact retro design, I love this and I would buy one instantly exactly the way it is.
Two things, 1. Perfect little truck, please bring this to the states and 2. Too bad Top Gear or The Grand Tour is no longer on the air, I would love to see the guys test this truck.
My first car back in the Dominican Republic was a 1981 Toyota Hilux diesel. It had the same base and graphics colors combination. Is incredible that 42 years later, Toyota is still using the same color combination.
LOL! So you're saying that America needs a vehicle driving the roads and highways that has 40-year-old safety standards? You just keep thinking little lady... that's what you do best.
@@brianbassett4379 Not little lady, and I'm not saying 40 year old safety standards. I'm saying a new vehicle based off of the old Toyota trucks but adapted to modern standards. It would stay as close as possible to the original trucks with sizing and reliability but new and safer.
@@brianbassett4379 Considering there are still millions of old trucks and cars on our roads that were built to those safety standards, I'd say the world wouldn't suddenly end just because Nancy boy Brians clutched their pearls over a simple pickup truck..
This is the pickup we need in America, simple manual transmission no extra electronics straight windows spare tire in back and simple interior. Simply pickup to work w clearance for snow and difficult terrain configuration with cable in front looks lake they exactly know what they doing. Pickup should be simple ,with good rust protection
I wish Chevrolet would remake an exact replica of the early 90s c/k series trucks. I miss my old 94 stepside single cab. Had the small block 5.7l. A beautiful truck.
This is part of getting rid of every politician that is against the United States . Vote them out , it’s called we the people , not we the republicans or we the democrats . We the people have the right to have a vehicle if we choose .
cool wish we could get a single cab basic off road truck like this in the U.S. Manuel transmission our tacoma 4x4 is about $50,000 U.S. $ tundra , sequoia can are as much as $80k U.S. $
You're telling me you guys in Japan STILL make cars look like their predecessors or regular automobiles, function like automobiles and are reliable??? Holy fuck man, we'd never get that here in the west...
Got to love US and Europe's road and safety regulations. We've missed out on the good stuff for years 😢 only to let them in 25 years later at a crazy tax and import cost. Smh
It is a beautiful and wonderful car with amazing durability. It is one of the best-selling small trucks in Saudi Arabia and the Emirates. It can withstand the heat of the weather, the air conditioning is very cold, and the engine does not know any faults. It is practical and excellent on rough roads and sand. We use a 4.0 V6 engine. If it is sold in the United States, the selling points will be discounted on other companies because it is a process that only requires... Consumable spare parts..
Toyota really nailed it. They keep making trucks that look like they’re from the 70s but they’re brand new. No other car brand does it better. They don’t even market this thing.
Its a Toyota, Simple technology, and a Manual Transmission. This is the perfect pickup for me. Too bad our government is pushing everyone to move on to boring electric auto pilot cars. Remember when driving required skill, and was actually fun?
