Vicki Cheng was a finalist in the 2023 UBC Three Minute Thesis (#UBC3MT) competition. They presented their research, "The Human Aspect of Cancer: Spiral of Mental Health."
How can we improve the mental state of patients undergoing cancer treatment and care? Vicki's presentation looks at the entire patient experience - including receiving and accessing mental health support, an integral component of comprehensive cancer care. By addressing gaps in care, we can better support the mental health and care of individuals with cancer.
Vicki Cheng is completing their MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Faculty of @UBCPharmSci.
#3MT is an academic competition that assists current graduate students with fostering effective presentation and communication skills.
