Ran it myself today. New pb 1.13 58.Its made for pbs if you have the work put in. Ideal conditions. Super organised. Unreal atmosphere and support on the streets
@@headshot9611 totally believable. My small city in Canada has guys breaking 1.20 on a river valley course with hills in the fall. I, on the other hand, can't seem to break 1.40 😔
Insane speed by kandie to hold off the others .and won the half marathon. the speed was there when he needed it must to pulled off that victory. congrats kandie.
Unreal. These guys are so fast. At 2:39 km probably was a big reason why they didn’t quite get the world record. I would imagine Kejelcha and everyone else has the ability to get it too. Can’t wait for the next few races.
one of the most interesting accelerations ive seen in a half-marathon. he literally just took off not even increasing slowly as youd expect. felt more like 1500m track when the bell rings and leaders hit a new gear. would love to watch the actual race
I was running it today. It was incredible experience. The weather conditions were ideal, cloudy, no sunshine at all, no wind and the temperature at the start time was +11. What a day! Definitely want to return back and run it again.
Greatest half marathon ever The half marathon world champion Sebastian Sawe, World indoor 3.000m Champ and Olympic Champ over 10.000 Barega, previous WR holder Kandie, 5k world Champ crazy Kejelcha apparently stated that he would break the WR in Valencia And how is Barega so smoth damn, the man aswell twice ran a 3:32 for 1.500 during his carrer that range is unreal. All of these 4 man could have broken the WR today
Kejelcha, Gebrhiwet and Barega are still absolutely world class on the track, especially in the 5000 and 10000. Kejelcha is world class in the 3000 as well. You wonder if other great track runners could become great half marathon or marathon runners if they decided to try it.
