I took a test drive of the Slavia, Virtus and Verna 2023. City is too executive for my taste. NVH, ride quality, performance, interior quality, space and features were a notch above the rest in the new Verna 2023, as expected from this Generation of sedans. I am going for the new Verna. Great job Hyundai.

Virtus's 179 mm ground clearance with 16 inch tyres right from the base variant makes it very hard to ignore..

How is headlight performance of Verna during night? Also pls suggest the heating issue of DCT in bumper to bumper traffic in new Verna is solved or not?

Good video 👌 I have 4th Gen ivtec 2019 zx model. Clocked 60K Kms and touchwood I had faced absolutely Zero issues till date. Still when I sit inside it feels like a one year old car. Doesn't give a vibe of 4 year old car at all. 👌👌 However, both VW cars Slavia & Virtus are also classy & can be opted for 👌 Anyone who is planning to go for Honda City, my honest advice is spend 3 to 4 Lakhs more & must go for Honda City Hybrid. One tank full with petrol will all you need for whole month of commuting. Whether Inside city's congested traffic or on highways, you will always get minimum 20+ Kmpl of mileage. guaranteed. Also, Honda has been an expert in making hybrid engines worldwide. Had I not bought City iVtec back in 2019 I would have definitely baught City Hybrid 👌💯

You feel City has more leg room because of your inherent bias (and that's okay, everyone has it's own preference and can't be truly objective). But scientifically Verna has the longest wheelbase and more interior space.

He didn't say that new verna has solved the issue of rear legroom now with wheelbase extended by 70mm now which has also made it really spacious inside, even more than others in the segment.

Hello Motorbeam. Could you please throw some light on the Ncap ratings of all three sedans? I know that Virtus and Slavia have 5 star safety rating in both adult and child category. What is the Ncap safety rating for Verna and Honda city? For me safety is the number 1 priority. Cosmetic features wont help me in case of an accident.

Went to the Hyundai showroom recently to check out the new Verna ,The creta feels more premium than the Verna and also Verna is not that appealing anymore!!

I test drove Verna 1.5TGDI manual SX(O) and Slavia 1.5TSI DSG Style variant back to back, what I feel is Verna has better much better AC cooling and much better camera quality compared to the 1.5TSI Slavia. In other aspects Slavia is a better car, like the front seats of Verna don't have good under thigh support, built quality, throw of headlights are very poor compared to Slavia, steering feel and feedback is very numb, the 2disc brakes variant of Verna don't have that type of brake bite, stoping power compared to the 1.5TSI Slavia. The instrument cluster infront of driver in Slavia feels more premium as compared to Verna, while the touchscreen unit in the middle feels more premium in Verna. In terms of interior quality Slavia has much improved from last year, now they have added soft touch materials on the door, armrest of door, etc but still Verna is slightly ahead in terms of interior quality.

All of sedans are offering great value of money, but I feel City is the most functional sedan in its category, boasting an attractive premium interior and exterior design specially from back where Vertis and Slavia fails (plastic interior) , exceptional fuel efficiency, ample power, a seamless CVT gearbox, and unbeatable seating comfort and space. best part very good service center as less cars compare to hyundai :)

Thanks for the review. I will buy Slavia because of the 'fun to drive' factor and the lovely 1.5 TSI Engine. I am currently owner of Rapid and am unable to accept the handling of other cars... 'Thud' sound of the doors also matters to me... So I am going with the German rather than light weight Japanese and Korean. Also Slavia has got 5 Star Global NCAP ratings which is hard to achieve for Verna or Honda City.

❤Slavia❤ I own 1.5 MT from 1year and drove 16k km...It's definitely fun to drive... Main factors which felt me great and to consider this machine 1. Safety-5stars (of course got gncap recently but as usual German cars cms vth great build) 2. Mileage-18 most of the times in highway and 21 too 3. First serive cost-4600 Got an issue with E ORVM and it got serviced under warranty So far I have got an extraordinary experience overall I am not downgrading other cars in the segment !! They are doing good either😊

I don’t agree that Virtus and slavia can easily accommodate three people on back seat.. it’s very hard for a third person to fit in.. even if they have normal build.. where Verna is wider and can easily accommodate three people
