MINI JCW Cooper an JCW MINI Countryman for the win, in general the MINI is perfect the VW platform have the most terrible infotainment system ever which I've experienced on a Skoda an the VW Golf. BMW systems are more smoother an up to date whereas VW you need to have this such an such process to get the new software update to either fix bugs whereas BMW has it all on a drive an will call you if you want to update your software or not.
Bought one brand new a few weeks ago as a birthday present to myself. I love it. It’s bigger than you’d expect. Love the GTI red theme running through the interior. Drive it mainly in normal mode as I live in central London. You sometimes forget it has so much power for a smallish Hatchback. On the right road in sports mode, I can confirm it’s fast enough. Also love the beats stereo system. Go for the smaller alloys as it makes for a more comfortable quiet ride. The larger Diamond alloys look great though. Insurance is reasonable as I think it’s In the 23 E range. Apple car play as standard. My favourite thing about it is that the word Polo is nowhere to be seen. I’ve had people asking if it’s a golf. It’s about 0.2 seconds slower than the Golf GTI at 0-60. Save about 10 grand and go for the Polo. However, the Golf is a bit more premium than the Polo. Was thinking of getting an R but insurance and running costs are higher. Just a word of advice. Colour can make a huge difference to the insurance price . A Grey version saved me £500 compared to the black version.
@@JoyfulGazingIguana-ce9td I think it’s to do with the fact that black models are involved in more accidents, however I was shocked myself as it’s a huge difference. I owned a black version but spotted it had an issue so took it straight back to the dealership. They found me a moonstone grey version and when I rang my insurance company to tell them that I would be changing the vehicle and they found out it was grey they quoted me £500 less. Does seem a bit odd but I fib you not.
Unfortunately, in America, the mentality is, bigger is better. This is the car that we need in the states. Not over grown EV SUV’s, that our government is forcing down our throats !
I had the exact car with a DSG. It was a great driving car with lots of torque and fabulous milage. I now have a 2023 40th anniversary, 6 speed in Urano Gray. It to is a great driver. I wish Polos were sold on the U.S.
Posso estar errado mais as únicas coisas q perdemos com o nosso polo gts é em questão de motor e teto solar, do resto o nosso tem saída de ar condicionado atrás q acho melhor q o dual zone, não tenho certeza mas acho q nossa vw play é mais moderna tanto q esse daí tem a integração do GPS com o painel de instrumentos, mas somente o GPS do próprio sistema, aqui foi abolido pq a maioria usa o Android auto e Apple car play deixando essa função de lado. E do resto acho q é tudo igual ou muda pouca coisa. A grande diferença msm é q lá esse carro é relativamente barato e aqui é relativamente uma fortuna. Mas aqui no Brasil é assim infelizmente.

A true sports car should be standard, six speed minimum, the thrill of driving is changing gears according to the track or highway otherwise, automatic transmission only for high-heeled gays is pointless braking and accelerating, it's like having sex with clothes on, The standard is "without clothes" and the handling of the "lever" where to "put" the speed, this is emotion without removing danger, is it clear?
