For the life of me I don't understand why USA2 chose you all for the quarters? Why would they want to eliminate the chances of both American teams to medal??
14:17 Is'nt that possible to penalize? It's a complete lie, he does not have the requirements of bidding that bid and every point earned should be taken away by the tournament director? I'm not into competitive bridge, too new for it. But what rules to follow or not would be benefital for me to learn, is it okay to bid something that shows something you do not have? I've read about brown stickers, and that Multi 2D is accepted because of it's popularity, but otherwise the other bids do have to promise something or be allerted. This 1spade is not allerted
You’re allowed to bid whatever you want, as long as your partner treats your bid to have what it says it has. You’re deciding partner and the opponents at the same time. If you do it to often with the same weird hand to the point that partner may “suspect” you don’t have what you say you had, then there’s a problem.
@@wolpertbridge Got it, but after the correction to 3NT, 4c, 4d. would it not be correct to just adjust it to 4spades given the 5-5 fit promised? The only reason I can see to pass 4c, 4d and 4h is because you suspect your partners bid is false and did not promise spades.. In their game now the 4hearts down 2 hurt them, but if it worked out it feels weird to allow it. Same case if the opponents bid something else counting up Brogeland for having 5 spades. Cards lays down and realize their 7card fit in spades is more spades than the 1sp-3sp... (should be 9, now it's exactly 6) As a new player, I would call TD on that, just explained the bidding process if it went bad for us.. Thanks for answering my content Gavin! I like your content :) !
Thanks I have no interest in dealing with this tone of comment. Good luck in your bridge. I feel sorry for your partners if this is how you talk to them about their mistakes.
