2023 World Chinese Conference with Carmen & Xinxin 

Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Vice President of Campus Life Dr. Carmen Arth and Director of International Relations & Centre for Chinese Studies Dr. Xinxin Fang were invited to participate in the First World Chinese Language Conference in Beijing, China in December 2023. They represented CUE in discussions on Chinese language and culture that paves the way for innovative collaborations and showcase the potential for transformative educational pathways and global exchanges. Following the conference, Dr. Arth and Dr. Fang visited CUE’s partners at Capital Normal University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Yantai University, and Donghua University.
Against the backdrop of iconic landmarks in Beijing, Yantai, and Shanghai, along with highlights of the conference, Dr. Arth and Dr. Fang take viewers on a tour of China through their eyes. Their engagement with CUE students in China, partner institutions, and others in the post-secondary and Chinese cultural fields celebrate the power of dialogue, partnership, and shared vision in building a brighter, more interconnected world.
