I never tire of seeing action and progress on your spectacular layout. Each time I watch one of your videos I am extremely impressed with the overall quality of everything. You leave no stone unturned! Thank you for the update! Mike
Sneak in one last video👍 before the year has gone well and truly gone. Its the evening of 31st December here in Wellington New Zealand. Thankyou for all the great videos of your Empire, and look forward to new ones in '24. Kindest Regards, Murray
Nice video Grant. Sure great to see those long freights snaking their way along the layout. You have piqued my curiosity about the track relocation. I will look forward to see that in a while. All the best to you.
I love the look of that crude oil train. I spent some time railfanning the Crows-nest sub. recently and it’s quite the hidden gem. You’ve captured its scenery very well
Hey Boomer good to hear from you as well. Unfortunately the summer saw me in steel toes far too much and it feels good to be back in the basement in flip flops. All the best to you and family in 2024!
Thanks Chris and Happy. New Year. It will be nice to slow down a touch for the next few months before the good weather returns and I'm back at it again. Cheers. -grant
Thanks for the update Grant. Good to see things running smoothly and the repairs almost completed. I haven't looked at my layout for a while with other commitments, but your video has given me the push to get back at it asap. Cheers, and best wishes for '24.
Thanks Scott. Time off can be a good thing even if it's forced by circumstance. I find coming back to the layout with fresh eyes can re ignite the creative spark. Happy new year to you and family. -grant
great update as always Grant. Yes, life does get in the way, and much as I'd like to say I've got lots done on my layout, haven't done a lot. Hoping to get some mojo back soon!
Thanks Jon. Yah sometimes it's tough to get the motivation to hit the basement. It was a bummer to have to repair damage on the layout but I found joy in the possibilities of change and a better scene a a result. Turning lemons into lemonade I guess!! Cheers pal.
Thanks. Yes the tank cars a re first rate. Happy to say they won't require the usual rebuild the rest of the rolling stock fleet has gone through. -grant
Sir, your layout is one of my favorite of all time. It is truly beautiful, and one of my main inspirations for n scale. The foliage and track plan is incredible, as well as the presentation with the dark fascia wood and lighting. Thank you for all the videos and happy new year!
Good to see, and looking forward to what is to come in 2024. Judging by the amount of Rapido centerbeams, you must ave bought some of the six packs? I may have chosen HO as my scale of choice, but seeing what you have done in N scale makes me want to do it as a second scale of choice to model!
Hope you and yours have a great New Year! Still going through your older videos already posted . Found a ton of helpful advise. My Grandpa always said" it is what you learn after you know it all that counts".
In November I purchased almost the exact same cars. Love those BLMA/Atlas cars as well although my train is only 14 cars long so far. New work is looking good. Curious if you’re going to go with Scale Trains AC4400’s vice Kato?
No I'm sticking with Kato, the gold standard for running quality and my fleet is 95% Kato. I messed with a Scale Trains Tier 4 Gevo and was disappointed. I found as soon as I changed any CV's for BEMF in the decoder the running quality tanked.
Nice addition to your car roster. Have my eyes on the center beam flatcars but not in the budget right now. But might change my mind after your review. Happy New Year!
