Thank You Barbados for giving us such a brilliant leader, I am South African but when I see PM Mottley I know the sense has come and true leadership that will speak for all people has come. A selfless leader who speaks truth to power and ensures the climate crisis is well articulated and seen.
She is a born leader! So articulate and accurate in her speech! PM do continue to speak truth to power! You indeed a genuine person and show you care for humanity!
As a caribbean woman I have great respect for Mia Mottley. She is so articulate and exemplifies what a strong leader and woman she is. She strongly informs the players on the world stage that the status quo is no more, and does it forcefully but quietly. Killing them with her brand of kindness. We in the Caribbean are no longer islands and people to be dismissed or disregarded. She is from Barbados, but I claim her for the entire caribbean.

I know there is crime, corruption and FRAUD all over South-Africa and millions of humans suffers from poverty. I don't talk about the things suffering, but who are responsible and behind for many people suffering. Touché PM Motley. Those that are the decision makers that refuse to participate in the economic and financial health of countries that are being depleted of their resources should be ashamed.
Unlike IMF/World Bank China is able to give low interest rates because even top Chinese bankers are just bureaucrats on fixed pay and earn maybe $40k USD a year (Xi Jinping earns $27k USD a year). Chinese banks don't have to report fat profits to shareholders. So long as they don't lose money, the bankers are ok and will retire on civil servant pensions and do taichi with everybody else in public squares in Chinese cities. The business model of the West requires lots of profits for shareholders, and big bonuses and fat salaries for bankers. It's normal for a top banker to earn seven figures in USD a year. The top banker needs the money to maintain his Bentley, his golf club membership, his berth at the yacht club. So it is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE for IMF and World Bank to lower their interest rates. Don't bother asking.
Life is deep when it comes to the mindset of the global climate change the need for solid sustainable renewable energy that will combine the good health of the people. I look forward to the day the Eastern Caribbean (my favourite places) people take charge of their environment and treat it like gold and treat the people like diamonds in the rough that need to be polished into the greatness that lies dormant in the people and land
Global inequality has gotten worse over the years and the climate crisis is only exacerbating it. Therefore, I agree we cannot continue say it's not time. The time is now. PM Mottley thank you pushing for our people of this region. The world bank has a responsible to assist small countries to bounce back after a disaster but corparations must pay their share.
Let us hope all those who attended understand what they need to do to offset this Event's' Carbon footprint. 👣..Many leaders did not show up!! It takes guts to speak harsh truths to power; PM Mottley, a Global leader in the true sense of the word, continues to call for Climate justice for low-income countries. I wish our PM had just a dot of love for us . The suffering in this country is real. I can't even buy a vehicle the old one every week in garage. Retired at 55 yrs have to wait 10 yrs 65 to get NIS. Retired with mortgage. Can't make groceries. Too much vat custom duties high and this man making us think that better can't be done. Barbados and St. Kitty doing well. Oh God have mercy on us. Our people are to the point of suicide. Help us Lord. Every week more than 5 people at my door begging for help. I am not able to help. Our young people cannot get jobs. They are 30yrs and still living home with parents. God help us . I can't even get all hold here. Leaders are responsible for our suffering.😮 you can know for sure when a leader cares about people. Proud of you Barbados . Great leader
