I have no idea what is going on in this video lol. First video of a bigger battle like this I've watched. So the tactic for big battles is for the two opposing fleets to form up get right out side each others range and then take shots and move a tiny but until you see a good opening and go for it? Is that what is happening around .30 seconds in?

Hey, apologies for the really slow response, life's been pretty wild lately. So, essentially, the tactics can vary, but, generally, fleets will warp in on premade pings. Since fights over infrastructure like these citadels revolve around the infrastructure, the parties in such a fight will have made pings ahead of time, and so FCs will usually be warping to such pings which gets the opposing fleets onto the same field, so to speak. From there, it's often a crapshoot, depending on the FC. In the case of this video, the fight that took place (to the best of my understanding, at least) began with the enemy fleet (comprised of members from Pandemic Horde and/or Fraternity alliances) was outranged by our (Goonswarm and other Imperium forces) Raven Navy Issue doctrine, which was pummeling their fleet at range. They needed to get into range in order to apply DPS to the RNIs, and at some point, they decided to warp in on a ping. (They may have had something fast burn in and warped fleet to a single member, instead) It was at this point that our dick pilots.. excuse me, our dictor pilots bubbled the middle of their warp, which resulted in the hostile fleet landing pretty much right at perfect optimal for our Rokh fleet, which I was a part of in this video. That was where the fight got spicy and we threw Rokhs into the blender to defend the much more expensive RNI doctrine fleet. This is, ultimately why I got popped during this fight. Our Logi support was repping our RNIs, and we were instructed to keep broadcasts clear, even if we were primaried by hostile fleet. So with all of that said, I'm not a super experienced bloc warfare pilot, nor am I an experienced FC or anything like that, so there's definitely more knowledgeable people out there regarding the subject of tactics, but that was, essentially, what I observed in this instance, with the understanding that I've acquired through a number of other fights that I've been in, or witnessed. I hope that this, at least, helps to answer some of the questions that you had!

Seeing the battle so far zoomed out the whole time is boring as hell.

Cool opinion, not really too sure why you felt it was worth the time to write a comment if you felt so off-put by it. I mean, I appreciate the feedback, but it's just a bit puzzling. What, exactly, did you expect to see when the title literally says timelapse? I'm sure there's plenty of footage showing the fight up-close. Though I'd say have fun watching several hours of TiDi and good luck finding anyone who's 1. cared to record the whole thing from start to finish, and 2. got the patience to not be moving their perspective all over the place so that, even if it does get sped up to account for TiDi, you can't see anything because the camera is having a seizure. Anyways, thanks for the feedback, I guess.
