I was greatly enlightened with your teaching sir I shall be writing the UTME examination next year by GOD'S grace I'm actually anticipating to study medicine in the university of Abuja Is there any fatherly advise you can give me 🙏🙏🙏
The cut-off for Mechanical engineering for FUTMinna is 180. You stand a good chance of admission. However, Enugu Stae candidates have only the chance with the Merit list. It is not in the catchment area or Educationally Less Developed State.
Your score is good. However, your admission into medicine depends on whether you are among the 1st 45% of candidates for medicine, competition from your State of origin, and the local admission politics.
Thank you sir…. Please I wrote jamb this year and I applied for computer science in federal university Lafia with the score of 226 and aggregate of 62.55 … I’m from Enugu state… They have admitted 40 people already and I haven’t been given admission… what is your advice
Fulafia is not a really competitive school tbh, I know someone who got 230 and got medicine there. Since your comments is about 2 months old, I'm assuming you have gotten admission right?
This is very insightful.. I have a question sir, I have an upper credit in SLT in my OND from a private polytechnic, I’m thinking of doing a direct entry to OAU IFE to study microbiology, Please what are my chances of gaining this admission
Thank you very much sir for this vital information. Sir I applied for nursing in unn with a score 255 somehow I doubt my chances even though am also from enugu. Someone told me I can easily gain admission with that score in nursing in uniuyo. I don't know much about how good the school is in that particular course as I found out it's newly accredited. Please enlighten me about going to uniuyo and their standard and if I actually stand a good chance of admission in unn with respect to how people performed in this year's jamb. It kind of scares me
The cut-off mark for UNN Nursing is 270. You are below that. The cut-off point for UNIUYO is 240. You are out for UNN and have some chance in UNIUYO depending on the performance of those applying from your state. Good luck.
Sir does being born in a particular state matter when seeking for admission, for instance, i was born lagos state but live in abuja and my parents are from anambra
Your state of origin is what matters when it comes to admission, not stae of residence or state of birth. However, becaause of your paretns long stay in aplace, they may have sufficient connection and ifluence to secure admission for you in a university in yoru state of residence.
Sir please, I'm applying for KDUMS to study medicine, I am not an indigene of the state but I scored 263 in jamb and living in katsina. Please sir do I have a chance to gain an admission there.
Alloy, As much as possible when in formal writing, define your terms. What is KDUMS. If it is King David Umahi University of Health Sciences, your chances depend on the local policy concerning specialised courses such as medicine. Increase your chances by scoring high UTME scores. Good luck.
hello sir good day sir . Thank you so much sir for this your video it was really eye opening i appreciate sir . My question is if my date of birth day in my birth certificate is different from my jamb DOB ,for example sir , jamb - 24/01/2004 for birth certificate is 21/01/2004 and i already applied for a change of date of birth in jamb' s office but they said it will take time but i have applied for admission and i wrote the exam and passed scored 75% ,please sir can they still give me admission and when jamb updates it then everything will be the same ? Gob bless you sir
It is good you have initiated a harmonisation of your DOB. Let's pray that the rerctification is done ASAP. I will contact JAMB for specific details and let you know later,
Sir pls I need help I just wrote and entrance exam to study nursing in a EDO STATE College of nursing in Nigeria I got 5 credit and 205 and 48 in the entrance exam I don't know how it's calculated if they will do an aggregate mark for me
Good day sir, what an educating video you got there🔥 Please I have a question but I'd like you to hear my story first I'm a High school dropout who intends to go back to school but this time to the university I dropout after a term and half during my SS1, so to say I didn't finish SS1 and that was in 2016 when I was 15 Now I'm 22 and I want to go back to school to study HUMAN PSYCOLOGY I've been researching for a couple of days now trying to find out if I can enter UNN or UNIZIK without WAEC But I came across a video that explains the importance and needs of an O'level result So I was wondering if I should attend lessons and study for a year, then write JAMB and WAEC. Do I have a chance? So can you please let me know the subject combination for HUMAN PSYCOLOGY? Thanks once again for this amazing video, I hope to hear from you soon
noname12246 you can still go to university but you must fulfill the 'O' Level requirement for admission. You can take lessons for one year and then write the external examinations. There are about four bodies that conduct 'O' level examinations. Watch this video for details ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bpCMsw1J3sk.html. If you mean psychology, you will need five (5) 'O' Level credits in the following subjects English Language, Biology, and Mathematics, and at least two other Social Science subjects from any of the following: Government, Economics, Geography, Civic Education, and Social Studies. The UTME Subjects include English Language and at least two subjects from Government, Economics, Geography, and any other one subject from Arts/Social Science/Science subject.
@@OjoniguFridayAti Thanks so much sir, I really appreciate 🙏 Please is the O'level subject combination same for someone who intends to gain admission through IJMB? I've decided to apply to UNIZIK so I'm wondering if there's any special consideration from UNIZIK? Thanks once again for your response 🙏
Yes. Your score is good. However, your admission into medicine depends on whether you are among the 1st 45% of candidates for nursing, competition from your State of origin, and the local admission politics.
The cut-off for medicine FUL is 250. You stand a high chance depending on the competition from your state, your 'O' Level results, and luck. Except you can make the merit list. Watch video again for details.
Merit means you yoru score places you in the first 45% on the admission list for a particular course in any federal university. JAMB admission into federal institutions 45% based on merit, 35% on catchment basis and 20% from educational less developed states.
@@OjoniguFridayAti Thanks, professor. This experience is quite long in narration. Please, bear with me, sir. I am from South West Nigeria, and we were wired to believe University of Ibadan (the premier university) and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) are for brilliant and high-achieving students. A serious student must got to either UI or OAU. We were made to see, tacitly, other universities as inferior to these two universities. A parallel understanding of other universities, especially universities from northern and eastern parts of the country. Because of this age-long believe, I sat for UTME six times, where I chose UI three times, OAU twice, and Osun State University (the university where I graduated). I did this between 2012 and 2017. I had a strong disdain for state universities and private ones. I do call them safe havens for less intelligent students and safe grounds for mediocres. While I was wasting my precious time, some of my colleagues went to state universities such as Ekiti State University, Kwara State University, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida University, and others. I also have colleagues who went all the way to Unimaid and other less rigorously inclined universities in the north (according to myself). These colleagues of mine graduated while I still sit for UTME, passing each year well above 260. In events that rub salt on my wounds, my friends finished their studies and secure employments. I received sense in 2017 and chose Uniosun. I doubted my decision afterwards because I scored 282 in UTME pursuing degree in economics. I wanted to change to University of Ilorin. I did got admission to Uniosun and graduated top of my class and emerged second overall best graduating student with first class honours in economics (4.85/5.00) in 2021. During the course of finding out if there exist any substance of quality differences between my supposed mighty universities' degrees and the one I was attending, I had the privilege of attending competitions where participants were drawn from UI, OAU, UNILAG, and other universities. This experience blew the remaining doubt in my mind. I relaised we all learnt the same thing from seemingly harmonised curriculum and pool of outstanding lecturers of different cadres. I sincerely regretted years I wasted seeking UI and OAU admissions. I considered myself intellectually foolish. My favourite lecturer, Professor A.G. Ogunleye (an outstanding teacher of Econometrics) often assert that "whatever you don't know here, they don't know it in UI" and most of the older generation universities because he and others teaching us had their degrees from these universities. In fact, many lecturers in these new generation universities got their advance degrees from Europe and America. He went ahead saying "Jide, earn your degree with highest honours, with passion for what you do, and have a great deal of confidence in your ability... and one day you'll meet your colleagues from these universities with your head high up".
@@OlajideALAKE-pv8fvthis is very inspiring... Am a firm believer of doing your best wherever you find yourself. No university is inferior in the real sense
Faasema, thank you. How are you stranded? You would have chosen a university and a course at the point of filling out the JAMB form. Are you sure it is JAMB you wrote?
UNIABUJA will naturally be highly competitive. 189 is above the cut-off but there will be pressure on Business Administration. Your chances may be enhanced by favour.
Thank you Sadiq. Study hard to score high in JAMB and your 'O' Level. Follow these instructions carefully. don't make the mistake of allowing someone to fill out the form on your behalf. Do it yourself. Make sure you read the Brochure and the requirements for your desired institution. Check your chances with the desired university. I wish you success.
Good morning sir I applied for mass communication at unilag with 230 in jamb and a very good o’level result and my aggregate was 68 and cut off for mass communication in unilag is 77 and I’m below catchment too Please I just want to know sir is there any chance of me getting a change of course or something from the university since I have a good utme and o’level result
Thanks for the insight sir, am very grateful also Sir, am from anambra state and I intend to study radiography in unizik with a jamb score of 236. Do I have a chance
Thanks a lot professor I wish I saw this video b4 my utme I wish to study computer engineering in unilag and I scored 265 in the 2023 utme. What are my chances of admission
Thank you sir But I already applied for jamb. I met this video late. Especially the part about applying into new university. Someone like me, who have already applied.. what do I do?
There would be a window for change of university. You can take advantage of it, particularly, if you feel your JAMB Score may not get you admission in your present university of choice.
@@OjoniguFridayAti okay sir. Thank you. But I haven't written jamb yet. I only recently registered. Sir please can you please make a video of new universities one can easily get admitted into. Thank you sir.
Also, sir can I accept courses like microbiology, physiology, physiotherapy or other related courses and cross back to medicine and surgery. Will that be feasible in university of ibadan.
Dorcas, most universities will not accept transfer from one course to another. However, if you intend to transfer, your CGPA must not be less than 3.00 at the point of transfer. You may decide to finish your 1st degree in any of these courses, then apply for medecine at a higher level.
Goodmorning sir . Thanks so much for this advice , I’m from Edo state /Benin city and am applying to Uniben for MBBS with a UTME score of 317. I’m so afraid now as i have applied before with 309 and performed abysmally in the PUTME 2022. What will be your advise for me sir as this my last UTME . Thanks for reading
ajdaniel. Prepare adequately for the PUTME in 2023. Don't allow the failure of 2022 to harass you into another failure this year. He who says he can, can. 2023 will bring you success in Jesus' Name. Sir I really enjoy ur lectures Sir I need ur advice I'm from Niger state,I hv an ijmb score of 15 point an I want to apply for MBBS sir which university will favour my desire course of choice sir
Your score is good for any university. However, your admission into Pharmacy depends on the local cut-off for Pharmacy, whether you are among the 1st 45% of candidates for medicine, competition from your State of origin, and the local admission politics.
Thank you sir, please can i get admission to study mbbs in enugu state University of science and technology, the cut off mark for it on Google was 200 and i got 227, but am from Delta state. What are my chances sir?
