Ed è per questo che ho aperto questo canale. Ho scoperto che non tutto era coperto su RU-vid. L'integrazione di Arlo è stato uno dei miei primi video e non ho mai guardato indietro. Divertitevi e benvenuti sul canale.
Thanks for the amazing video. My Aarlo integration stopped working in June and was trying to figure out what went wrong and your video came in handy.. Really appreciate your contents! Just one correction, @8:08 the second field is the password to access the ARLO account and not the email account.
@@smart_home_australia I purchase the Essential Spotlight Cameras with Solar Panel Charger. I only issue I am having with HomeAssistant is the camera view. They seem to be just a snap shot and not a live moving view. When I press play on the cell phone I do see the indicator go from idle to Steaming but I see no movement of the picture in Home Assistant. Not sure if this is the way it should work or not? Thanks for any help.
@@MrDhaker I checked the compatibility list (github.com/twrecked/hass-aarlo/blob/master/README.md#supported-devices) and it should be supported, as long as it is the VMC2030 or VMC3052,. Are you using the picture glance card or the special arlo picture glance card (github.com/twrecked/lovelace-hass-aarlo) this works much better for the Arlo integration.
@@smart_home_australia Thanks for the reply. I am using the the picture glance and not quite sure how to install the arlo picture glance. Any aditional help will be appreciated.
@@MrDhaker Check out the GitHub page (ref: github.com/twrecked/lovelace-hass-aarlo). The arlo glance card is available from HACS just search for lovelace-hass-arlo.
I followed everything to the letter and failed spectacularly haha... Can't see the shared cameras in the second Arlo account and get an authentication failure when adding the integration lol... Back to the drawing board for me!
Make sure that you follow the permissions to access the cameras at 5:44 in the video otherwise the cameras will not show up. Remember this is a fully accessible user on your ARLO account so you can even log into the arlo app with it to make sure that your cameras are visible.
Thats a great question and I'm not sure. I run some old Arlo 2 Pro's with a base station and that works perfectly and was the only battery powered camera I could get working in HA (wait for the Reolink video coming soon!). So I'm unsure if these work without a base station and its not called out in the integration documentation of forums. If you give it a go can you let us all know how things go?
If you check the supported cameras (github.com/twrecked/hass-aarlo) they are not listed. My advice, try it. I’ve heard that some cameras are not on the list but are supported.
Wow, thank you, you just made me realist that I have not created a video for this, how did I miss that !! lol OK well check out this video from Mark, it should get you up and running. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tsuWrXErWGI.htmlsi=4SxaJ-fMA2r2QGfp
Thanks, I can see that the VMC2030, VMC2040 VMC3060 Essential Cameras are supported. There is no mention of the "Arlo Secure". You can check the compatibility list at this link: github.com/twrecked/hass-aarlo. As to the stream workers errors, can occur due to various reasons. Here are some potential causes and solutions: Authentication Issues: In the forums some users have reported authentication failures with the Arlo integration. This could be due to changes in the Arlo backend or issues with the user’s account credentials. Make sure your username and password are correct and try re-authenticating. JSON Decode Error: This error typically occurs when the integration is unable to correctly parse the response from the Arlo servers. It could be due to changes in the API or issues with the response data. Backend Configuration: A common solution is changing the backend configuration to sse (Server-Sent Events) seems to resolve the issue. You can try adding backend: sse to your aarlo: definitions in your configuration.yaml file.
Sorry i am not seeing the people option int the setting menu. Arlo version 4.15.1_28683 And do you mean open the new arlo app with the new account credentials. Thanks in advance
Hi Rick, the "people" option is accessed by pressing the "profile" icon in the top left of the home screen in the Alro App (I'm running version 4.15 (7556)) then "people". I cant see any reason why you would not see this in the forums. You are simply giving view access to the new email address so that HA can use this to access your cameras. Otherwise, HA will "fight" over access to your Arlo cameras with the login that you use on your phone app. Hence logging out your phone app when HA wants access to your cameras.
Did you remember to Select all cameras, plus allow access rights? Then you need to respond to the access rights email to verify the access? If you dont do these steps then you will not be able to see your cameras.
The same problems here as with the other boys. The shared camera is not displayed in the second Arlo account after the invitation. In addition, the website of the second Arlo account looks completely different from the website of the first (original) Arlo account. Strange! The initialisation of the AArlo integration within Home Assistant is also rejected with the following error: Error during setup / 2fa startup failed / Check the protocol.
I've moved away from Arlo and onto Reolink as my main solar powered security cameras as thats supported natively by the manufacturer through RTSP. However, I have seen afew problems reported by channel members and will try and get some time to do a fresh install this weekend and try and document the findings in a video. Something has definitely changed but I'm not sure if thats the developer or that Arlo has decided to stop such access (which would be a huge mistake IMO).
@@smart_home_australia Thanks for the quick reply! I could bet that Arlo has a finger in the pie here. Why else would the WebUI of two identical Arlo accounts look different? They have checked this and are routing you to a different host with the solution described. In addition to this error, ARLO also makes many others that have already made me look at Reolink products. Would be cool if you could recreate it and report back here. Best regards form Germany
@@Lightpixxer Hi, I checked again and reinstalled from scratch and it still works. However, they have changed the web view login dashboard, So "something" might' have changed.
@@smart_home_australia Today we (Germany) received a newsletter from Arlo that multiple logins (same user on different devices) are now possible. Maybe this is related to this!
@@Lightpixxer shouldn’t be, that’s why I specifically created two email logins. One is the owner and the second one is an account you share the access of the cameras with. That way the should never “fight” for access.
