2024 Avalon String Band - “Level Up” 

I am the target audience. Love my city :)

As an elder millennial who's played super Mario my entire life I was smiling ear to ear during this entire performance. I've seen quite a few of this year's Mummers Parade performances on YT and so far this one has some of the highest views out of all of them. Well deserved !

Even though they got 5th place, id give them 1st. Great job to all my 4 brothers, and Bobby Gags and I could watch this a trillion times over and not get bored of it

These guys got robbed. This year was full of amazing performances and it would be hard to pick, but Avalon should have placed higher. Guessing none of the judges are gamers. This was my favorite hands down!

My favorite. South Philly had more props but Avalon costumes, music, choreography was fantastic!😊

Very different than what is normally produced. They told a story like the video game. Being a Mario fan I really liked it. I found it really creative when they incorporated Mario Kart and had Yoshi and Donkey Kong spinning out. That was really funny

5TH?! I swear that's one of my biggest issues with the mummers is that they are always stuck in the 60's with their music. Its almost like they got to be dragged kicking and screaming to get with the times. I've been watching the mummers for more than 40 years and it doesn't always have to be 'Dem golden slippers and Alabama Jubilee. To me, this theme has been a breath of fresh air as someone who love game soundtracks. This should have been 1st place!
