I've been playing disc golf since 1989, and watching since 2012 on RU-vid. The level of talent now is unbelievable! Everyone's scores on these much harder and way longer courses are just amazing! Everyone on coverage regularly makes 50+ foot putts like it's nothing! I'm so happy the sport I love, grew to this level. I wish it would've been like this when I was younger. I can barely play now after tons of spine surgeries. But I'm so happy for disc golf! I never thought I'd see it grow so big, with players making this much money! Huge thanks to Jomez for allowing us fans to continue watching for free here, with top-notch coverage! And for helping to grow the sport!! I wish I could afford to be a patrion. Sorry.
I hear ya. 25 years of playing and I may be done due to spinal problems. But the reason everyone is so good is that they had more tools to learn from. The younger guys these day grew up watching form being perfected on youtube. In the old days, even my day, people were still somewhat making it up as they went along.
@@jarradwisherd3982 💯These three are great together, but Jeremy never gives the moment room to breathe. Watch Calvin's drive on six again. The crowd is going absolutely bonkers, but he's got to force in some inane comment about a vendetta against the cameraman. You can barely hear him over the crowd. Read the room!
Why the hell is there ob on the left side of the green on 4? That basically takes all eagle bids out of equation. The kind of roller it takes to even get to the green is insane and should be rewarded. Not like it's a shot everyone could make
@@jcrow62 Don’t we all! 😂 But seriously, it is what separates a PDG course apart from your local park’s course that you don’t call OB on a lot of shots that if it were designed to host professionals, it would have to be carved out and/or mandatory routes to form fairways. It also gives a gallery and audience a place to observe and stay out of the way. It’s frustrating, albeit a necessity.
@@MDSF90 I think it’s necessary sometimes, but this course it’s not needed. Who cares if someone goes long with a 650 foot roller on 4. It’s ridiculous.
Definitely think they should do away with some of the OB they’ve added in recent years. AJ shouldn’t be punished for that roller going long on hole 4, he should have had an eagle putt there. Just my opinion.
Wow, AJ's roller on 4 was incredible, but for par!?! Anyone else think there should be conditional OB rules, where that shot is safe because its off the tee but then its OB for any shot after the tee shot, encouraging the play for Eagle?
Instead of chase card check-ins during the first few rounds, can we just get a video montage at some point during that has the "Best of the Rest" type shots? I really like them during the final round because it helps build suspense, but I just skip them in the first few rounds.
Leaving comments on a jomez video will do nothing to change Ryan’s situation with the pdga. I’d rather have no comments section than a hateful and toxic one
What the hell I get it you normally see people with dogs on casual rounds, but not at a pro tour event... after the second bark I personally as the player would have kindly asked them to make the dog disappear quickly...
Love watching men's and women's pro tour on Jomez, great coverage!Nate,Paul and Jerm do a great job and have good chemistry, but turning off comments on round 2 of the fpo is cowardice.
Ehhhh, it wasn’t brave, but it was the right move for the channel. They rely on views to earn a living. Once the PDGA made their decision, you can’t ask Jomez to take the fall for it. A firestorm in the comments is bad for all of these guys and gals.
They’re a business, not the free press. Regardless of your views on Ryan, it’s better for their business to turn off comments so that’s what they did. Not censorship
Thank goodness gracious all the fair weather wishy washy folks have stopped complaining about the leaderboard and have either moved on or learned how golf scoreboards/leaderboards work when you’re watching a final/lead card coverage and the rest of the field has already finished their round or are holes ahead of the coverage card. That was getting exhausting to see every week. I haven’t been combing through and staying interested in the comments for so long because of it but it looks like I may be able to enjoy it again.
"Putting World Champion" literally anytime Matt Bell plays lol (Which is great accomplishment he earned that. Respect. Commentator sounds like an echo.)
Has he ever won an elite series. I know it’s been a while if he has but he’s been around a while. He’s had to have came close. Id be shocked if he hasn’t gotten at least a 2nd or 3rd at de la
You know what would be so cool if they interviewed the winner of the tournament right after the last hole and the winner announced the practice round gimmick disc winner. That would really elevate this show to the next level
Why can't we comment on the FPO is it because they don't want to deal with the rude comments associated with Nat Ryan? Thanks for your coverage Jomez I love the videos
It’s definitely that. People become very hostile towards it instead of making actual valid arguments. There are arguments to be made, but they can’t do it without being extremely bigoted.
Was that a person or a dog that called out WOOF!!! In either case that's very shitty, people know better and if it was a dog then why was it allowed on course? In ball golf if you disrupt players you are escorted from the even and black balled from PGA events. The PDGA should really be more of an advocate for players and boot disruptive spectators.
Problem is almost every pet owner has “emotional support pet” registration. It’s ridiculous. If it isn’t a seeing eye dog, it’s not a service dog. 🤷🏿♂️ ( And I doubt a blind person is watching lead card, JS😉)
@@cured_bacon647 Oh, I’m aware. I just think “emotional support” is not a valid reason to take a dog in a grocery store, restaurant, etc. My point is people take advantage of the term “service animal”. If you’d like to rebut my point, feel free.
@@dalereinhold640 nah I agree with you on that. Emotional support animals shouldn’t even be a thing at all and it’s all to easy to get an animal registered as a “service animal.”
Personally love the “fast” flyovers so you can actually get a feel for the hole. 300ft holes felt like they were a mile before. I’ll pass on the overly wordy hole breakdowns…
Bell bottoms weren’t cool since the 70’s, the mustache wasn’t cool since the 80’s. But they made a comeback. The visors the next big comeback. You just need the locks to block the sun. ☀️ 😅
Wow Paul & J.Koling are low-key haters, you guys suck I have to watch with the volume all the way down, come on guys!!! Jomez hire some other people too🐢✝️🥏
