Back in 1999......Belmont - Lemon Drop Kid (LDK) won. LDK was a good 2 year old, just like Dornoch was. LDK won an Allowance race at GP in early 1999. Dornoch won the FOY at GP earlier this year. LDK finished 5th in the Bluegrass. Dornoch finished 4th in the Bluegrass. Lemon Drop Kid finished 9th in the Derby. Dornoch finished 10th in the Derby. LDK went onto win the Belmont at 29-1. ***The question is - could Dornoch be the LDK of the race? I'm not saying he's gonna win...but LDK and Dornoch have some interesting similarities.

Saratoga is speed favoring. Means deep closers SL, HM are a complete toss. Three-year-old crop is weak this year. KYD was slow, as was the Preakness. Looking at new shooters. Tuscan Gold gets a mulligan for Preakness. Squeezed at the break, hated the track. Antiquarian is my top pick today.

Ana is the one. consider she is bred to be pretty terrible on the slop and yet look at what she did on a track that was not best for her. she wins the 24 Belmont
