2024 Berrien County Fair Tractor Pull 

I enjoyed watching. You and Shelly did well. Farm stock pulls are where it's at. Sure - pulling tractors have all of the smoke and glitz. Then they sit in the garage until next year's pull. Miss Shelly handled that 1800 like a pro. That 2nd hook she drove and shifted text book perfect IMO. Nice job young lady. Here in West Tennessee every year it seems like there are more "hotrod" tractors than actual farmstock. I believe it was 2017 that my wife and I were visiting her family in Niles and were able to make it to Berrien Springs and watch the pulls. We enjoyed the show. I hope we get to come back someday. Thanks for sharing this with us.

It appears Berrien county has a great fair grounds . The folks who work to maintain and keep the community involved should be pleased

Thanks for sharing the pull trip. It's nice to see Shelley get involved and do real well in her class. That BS with the hot tractors in classes they shouldn't be in needs to stop, if they want to put on a show don't do it ruining the stock boys fun. it won't last long before guys give up. It's a shame you can't justify the time and cost to go play with the bigger boys toys and show them a thing or 2 with Shelley driving it, she certainly isn't scared of driving the tractor ! I spent another $300 the other day for 1/4 plate and parts for my" I'm bored after work fun time" Fordson pull tractor build, and I'm not telling what the rests going to cost before it even drives out the shed L.O.L. Take care both of you.

Awesome video sir thanks for sharing. Don’t get me wrong I like watching the hot farm tractors but they need to be in their own class and the stock tractors have their own class. Around us years ago they had a max Pto horse power for each class, everyone had to dyno before they could pull and anybody that placed in the money had to dyno again

I see all those modern JD's where you just sit there and you don't have to think or make decisions as a tractor puller, the tractor does everything for you and probably guides you down the track on the perfect GPS. lol And the tractor just pulls. Not sure what the point of tractor pulling with those is...

Have you thought about making cement wheel weights on the 1850?

I actually pull in the altered farm class but everyone in the classes are all altered farm. Myself I wouldn’t want to pull against the stock tractors because if I go out there and beat everyone and get first place you don’t have the bragging rights because by all rights I should beat them so I didn’t earn it fair. But a lot of guys don’t care as long as they got first they’re happy they have another trophy to put on the shelf to show all of their buddies

Maybe the people running the show should learn what "stock" means. In my day there was stock, super stock, and modified classes and you didn't run a super stock against stock machines.
