Just adding some more tips: 1. ALT+RMB on a stack of items in your inventory or storage lets you split it. Great for recipes, transferring food items, etc... 2. ALT+RMB on your map lets you set multi-part routes. Lets you make circular routes around a town for AFK training for example or in the ocean to AFK sailing XP on a disposable boat. 3. You can move Pearl event and store items from your characters Pearl inventory tab to any Storage Vault and move them from character to character. (Provided its not character bound). Lets you transfer all those unopened event costumes/Valks/scrolls to characters that you may want to use them on or just store them in a central vault. 4. If you have storage maids, you can hit ESC then select the Disconnect menu. Click to any single character besides the one you are currently logged in on. Click the pouch icon in the upper right and RMB click to directly transfer items from that character inventory to your current active character. Only works one way though to transfer items TO your current character. Great for maximizing unused alts inventory and saving vault space. It requires Storage maids however to work. 5. You can utilize the Central Market as storage for armor items or sellable loot that you may not immediately want. Its limited on total weight but not number of slots and it auto-stacks identical items. It's available on all your characters from anywhere in the world if you have maids. Great if you have not already completed or fully unlocked Magnus. Not recommended for heavy things like crafting resources but works for potions and armor items or general sell-able loot items. Only thing is everything must be max durability to store/sell. 6. If you have all those unused lower level healing potions and do not need them, you can combine them all to the next higher tier using simple alchemy. I (think) its a 5:1 ratio. I believe it also works for energy and stamina potions. 7. Blue potions work for any secondary resource. Not just mana for casters. (Believe it or not, it took me a while to realize that as a newbie lol). May not be super relevant since many classes have generator skills, but good to know in a jam or as an emergency on a fairy. 8. Keep one master set of armor and accessories in a Storage Vault for all your alts. The only items you need specific to an alt may be its weapons. (Even those may be shared with some mirror classes or similar ones like ranger/witch/wizard daggers, kunoichi/tamer/ninja short swords and warrior/guardian/valkyrie shields). Great for those who may be an alt-aholic. I keep one evasion and one DR set for example. Then a vault just for misc shared class weapons. On some classes the only unique item may be their awakened weapon. I just gear up before the day to grind, etc... Also is great for those who have a central blacksmith/upgrade character since you can work on upgrades for all your characters in one place.
Thank you. Blue Number 3. After you left the Blue Man Group. I didn't know what you were going to do, but i see you are doing quite well with these sort of videos. Dabadi dabada to you.
Hey Blue. I'm a long time MMO'er (and short time MMO streamer) who picked up BDO in this last month as a second game. Your guide series has been exceptionally helpful in figuring out what to play and how to avoid some potential early pitfalls (why does the game not go "HEY YOU SHOULDNT EVEN THINK ABOUT NOT PLAYING SEASONAL AS A NEW PLAYER"). I've had most questions I care about answered by watching them, with the only real thing for debate being "do I farm infinite pots / compass / map on seasonal or graduate and have better gear". And I eventually need to re-watch the worker empire video now that I have 300+ CP because some of that makes more sense (and 90% of the map isnt hidden anymore either!) And your humor is great. Good work, I wish my GW2 content was at this quality.
I've played GW2 since it was in beta and BDO for a few months. BDO is very solo-only outside PvP and guild missions, where in GW2 I do progression and speedclear raiding (my youtube channel has our VoD's), help train raids, can jump into an endless chain of world bosses that make BDO's world bosses look cute and quaint, and then hop into WvW, or PvP (though PvP in GW2 is also hurting). Gearing in GW2 is significantly easier too. Instanced PvP arenas use standardized gear, so you can jump in at level 1 and you'll be set to 80 with all your skills unlocked and you just have to buy level 1 weapons off a vendor if you dont have them. For WvW, you can get a set of Exotic gear (about 5% worse than the best gear tier in the game) for about an hour of doing stuff at level cap (which isnt hard to get to). It then has a near endless amount of stuff you can grind. Legendary Armor and weapons (they have the same stats as ascended, but you can change their stats at will out of combat), profession-based achievements, glamour collections, jumping puzzle, and the like. You can pick it up and put it down at any time and it doesnt feel like youre punished for not playing.
You forgot to add Don't ever cancel a workers active job because it could cancel the entire crafting progress and support will refuse to refund the materials smile 😀
I love your content, and I tried out BDO after watching. I am a big fan of the way the combat looks, but I am middle aged and dumb, so I can't get my fingers to do the combinations to make the cool things happen. I feel like it would be better on a controller, but I have also heard that this is a terrible way to play... would love to see a section in a beginner guide about control schemes.
I like how you kinda managed to stay serious for 2 classes before completely memeing out on the rest of them Although I don't know if it really makes a good impression if you spend over 20 minutes talking about the cash shop and what to spend money on right after hitting level 10. I get your point, and it's very useful info, but as a newbie I would be scared off from that alone. Should have been a separate guide IMO. New players wanna have fun, and not bother with the cash shop and spending money right away. With a few, very big exceptions.
i actually would feel bad for genuinely new players looking for a guide and finding this video, doubt many would make it past the 4:00 minute anyways so its not that big of a deal i guess
Its important that a new player isn't scammed out of their money and doesn't feel obligated to buy things they won't need or use in any way. The reason I went in depth on the pearl shop guide is that if they screw up any other aspect of the game it doesn't cost them IRL $$$.
Yay, finally found your newbie guide. I'm going to watch the sh*t out of it for the next cpl of days, so thank you in advance for doing the developer's job:D Bro I'm already losing it in the character select section lmao xD
some things u could also address. loot boxes, gear names and brief overview, which items for life skills, u dont even go over the energy stuff or nodes which is something the game brings up immediately, like yes another 2hr long video where u completely skip the beginning everyone starts at and give us endgame stuff rattled off so fast anyone actually starting missed it. actually genius strat. u know every npc can u give a guide on some gameplay, what it actually looks like to start something other than the main quest. lots of info tho.
Dont forget this game is a GRIND SLAVE , best gear = best spot for grind money! dont try upgrade items by yourself if u are neewbie, u may drop game! 2k usd in crons and get nothing! just w8 for AoC or TL have fun!
Hey my guy, hope youre doing great! Quick question. I graduated and wanted to link my 2nd charakter, but i noticed the system is different now. Can you explain how i do it for my 2nd charakter? Is the system that my 2nd char has same stats etc same gear as my main char? I Dont wanna do the whole quests again :D Thank you in advace! !
ah shoot, I just got started playing this again after stopping way back in 2017 and saw the Nala items being converted to Tuvala. Now I have both items RIP
Not sure if they changed the loyalties character slot expansion but I bought one 2 weeks ago and now it says sold out and cannot buy another that way. Maybe it has a refresh timer?
every guide Ive watched says not to bother upgrading accessories, but to finish Season Pass you have to enhance a Tuvala Ring and necklace. I'm confused
you can move way more items to cm then to storage . for everyone its diffrent . i do mostly life skill ,. i hjave alot of storage but more of cm maids . u can move like 333 sttones to storage or 2000 to cm do the math
Thanks for the video. I'm a new player fresh off seasonal and my value pack is not working. It shows at the top of my screen that I have over 40 days left on my value pack, appearance change coupon, merv's pallet, etc. but I'm still being taxed and can't customize my character through the F4 menu. Anybody have any idea as to what I'm doing wrong?
Beginner questions, how targeting, fighting, balance, farming and so one works guide: 30 min pay shop stuff, after the boba (obvl mandatory) stuff yeah, bye.
hey guys! i've created a witch now lvl56 but i dont like the gameplay can i switch to a new char or i will loose everything ive done quest wise* i dont wanna do all that BSHIT again haha thanks
bought BDO cuz i dont like tab action.. wondering why everyone was a woman in the game except me (choosing wizard) didnt understand anything so i looked up tutorials and see this video.. i now understand why everyone is a woman 😂
Is the Hash hate thing an ongoing joke or something on this channel I've been missing? This game is 99% weeb and Hash is definitely one of the lowest on the list. He out performs alot of classes in some big area's as well, so guessing its just a joke or the guy is completely clueless and has never played the class (Yes I know he has 1000's of hours in black desert, that doesnt mean anything though if he has only spent 0-30 mins on a certain class. Plus being an online game classes are constantly getting buffed and balanced.). If it's a joke, an explanation would be great, if not I guess I'm kind of asking an echo chamber (most communities of creators are) where does the hate come from? So not sure if I'll get a real answer, but I swear every single video he whines or cries about this class.
He joked and said things about other classes, you just for some reason latched onto the hash comments and got weirdly offended. There's your explanation.
