This is my favorite Siri Sustainable video, by far. I love how you address the elephant in the room with understanding. Also, the fact that you called putting on her tights the "charming challenge" cracked me up. I love that. I will remember that next time, for sure.
Oh thank you so much! I thought there was no way to make this video - with all the plastic packaging, etc without trying to come to terms with the paradox. I have to say Suri is one of my favorite Blythes so far (I have 5 Neos and 1 Middie) and while unboxing her I realized that my collection/practice could be more eco-conscious. I put some resources in the description if you’re interested. 🤗 Re: the charming challenge 😂 it was! It literally took me 30 mins to get the tights on her. 🤣🤣 Thank you so much for watching. 😍
@@thedollsthewitchandthewardrobe I have a pretty big collection but I can say that a lot of my dolls are secondhand- which feels good. I love getting dolls, cleaning them up and finding them a style from what I have. I guess that’s my contribution- 😂
I love her! She was the 4th to join my dollroom and I absolutely LOVE her - I was not prepared for how much I like her - her stock is so perfect - I think she’s great! Thanks so much for watching Ambrosia 🤗🤗🤗
Suri is on my wish list ! Great video, loved how you talked about sustainability ! I completely agree with you. I think everything is about balance in life.
Thanks for stopping by Mandy! Suri is definitely one of my favs. I don't have that many Blythes - I'll try to keep my collection small and try to focus on second hand dolls in future. I will also reach out to Good Smile and ask if they can cut down on the packaging a bit. There's so much!
I love this doll, and I love what she stands for. Much of my crafting and jewelry making, is about recycling. I love having the challenge of making something new out of something old. These dolls are so cute, it’s very difficult to stay out of that rabbit hole of having so many. I do have future plans for my dolls. I have five granddaughters who love dolls. Right now they’re too young for Blythe dolls, but I do plan on regifting my Blythe dolls to them. My oldest granddaughter already has one of them. I did a little bit of customizing her and gave her as a birthday gift last year. As far as doll collection, I have not gone down any other doll rabbit hole and nor do I plan to for this very reason… Sustainability.
Hi Terry - I love that! I agree I am doing same with my doll collection - I'll leave it to my nieces. And I will be more conscious about buying new dolls - I have my collection where I want it even though temptations abound (that new rabbit earred Blythe is making me want to get her!) - I think, if adding dolls to my collection in the future, that I want to concentrate on second hand or previously owned dolls and even thrifted dolls. And I think I'd like to send emails to the big manufacturers asking them to reduce the plastic packaging for dolls. I love that your jewelry making focus is about recycling - by the way, I'm subbed to your channels and love the videos you put out there!
She is precious 🥰I get most of my dolls second hand and fix them up but i also do buy new too. I am planning on leaving them to my Granddaughters who seem to love dolls too even though they are almost adults so i know they will be in good hands. Also to my newest baby Granddaughter if she is interested.Thank you for sharing 🥰🤗💘
Oh Dawn I love that and I’m inspired to do same - I like the vintage Barbies a lot and there’s a few that I’ve had my eye on. That said I already have a dozen plus dolls inbox waiting for me to unbox. My nieces also are into the dolls and I will be leaving my collection to them. I love that people are responding to this video with ideas on how to be a more conscious collector. 🤗🤗
